my sister keeps her dog food in the bag inside a tall trash can! not the cutest thing ever, but it does hide the bag and preserves some of the freshness. the step lid is also nice for easy access to it. I also just wanted to say, I didn't realize how much I MISSED your videos until you came back! It's so unbelievably refreshing to have someone to watch who finds such joy in the simplicity of life, and is more focused on conscious consumption, and not always trying to sell us on new "stuff" just for the sake of having it. So hard to find these days. You've inspired me to keep decluttering!

For the dog food storage- yes that’s true to keep the kibble in its bag, but you can put the whole bag into a container for extra freshness

For the sheets, I toss the whole set in one of the pillow cases, makes it a little "cleaner" looking. Love those "belts" for the sheet sets, so smart!

I highly recommend folding the sheets, fitted sheet etc all together and putting it into the pillow case so you have a matching bundle packaged up :D

Dog food tip: You can put the dog food in an airtight container but still in the bag. If you pour the dog food directly into the container the kibble can creat small cuts in the container and the oil can seep into the cuts. The oil will eventually go rancid. Also, you should use up the bag of dog food within the month. I know it is nice getting the biggest bag because it is cheaper, but again, that oil will eventually spoil.

My husband is a veterinarian and we use separate Vittles Vaults for all our dogs. If you decide to use it just make sure it's 100% dry before you put food in, and not to pour new food on top of old food. Just scrape the bottom and then refill completely! However the easiest solution is definitely just to put the bag inside another container. Love the videos!

Putting dog food in plastic bins isn’t a good idea just because plastic is porous and over time it can become rancid and that bacteria is getting into your dogs food. You can keep the dog food in the plastic it comes in and put the whole thing into a bin. That’s that my family does and works great! Doesn’t have to be a clear bin, so the bag and everything is hidden. Hope this helps!!

This is my kind of video, I love IKEA and organizing. Our home is currently in need of a decluttering and some organizing😅 Our house is a little older, so some of the closets/cabinets are funky sizes. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation💛 For sheet sets, I fold everything and then put the sheets and pillowcases into one of the pillowcases to keep it all together and easy to stack sets.

Everything looks amazing Michelle. I have had a couple of Golden retrievers myself and the bags are huge, LOL! I've stored my dog food in BPA free airtight dog food containers for many, many years and have had no issues with bugs personally. It does look nicer and makes life easier for sure!

I second this! I was at Target looking for bins to put my son's baby clothes in (that he grew out of) and a random mom told me about vacuum sealing them so you can fit more into one bin. It has save us so much room! I just label the bags like NB-3m, 3m-9m, wearble blankets, etc. so I know what to open in future for next baby

If you have a Home Goods or TJ Maxx by you their wicker baskets are so cheap and they have so many to pick from. Even the ones from Target are so pricey competitively!

We use the Vittles vault Pet Food Container for our dog's and cat's food. I find that it keeps the food fresh for a while and it isn't see through so we've never had any bug problems

Ah real shame about the boxes not fitting in the linen closet because it’s really hard to make sheets look good so the boxes would have been ideal! But at least you’ve got a system now. I read a tip in the comments about putting the sheets in a pillow case which is a great idea - it would look neater! Lovely video as always xx

For the dog food, I put the bag inside the clear container with a clip on it to keep it fresh. I saw the same thing about the containers, but read doing it that way is safe! Not a huge improvement but it's better than just the bag out I think haha

Dried dog food has mites. They multiply when you open the bag. Its just something you cant get rid of. I had to switch my dogs to real food because I have a dog thats allergic to mites we fed him dry dog food and his allergies were so bad.

We put our bag of dog food within a bin! That way it’s air tight and in a neutral container, but we don’t have to worry about the oils from the previous food going rancid

I have never heard about not putting dog food in containers. I feel like it would less likely get bugs then keeping it in the bag. For the old tenants mail. Weekly put an elastic around it and mark tenant no longer lives here and put in your mailbox and the carrier will take back.

It's not bug that they warn about, its micro scratches/scratches. There's a thought that bacteria can build up in them.

I just stumbled upon your video and really enjoyed it. I have a suggestion for your pantry. I would put the cans back on the shelf stacked neatly and use those beautiful baskets to hold all the snacks you had in bags. It will look cleaner and be safer!
