I like how waxed laces stay tight however this also means they are allot harder to unlace i don’t think it’s as hard to unlace an aggressive skate tho compared with a carbon boot urban skate like the powerslide hc evo or tau

Man, i got same setup as yours. Shifts+V2's and after about 1h my fingers go numb :( maybe i should not tight this laces so hard... maybe you got any advice how should i prevent this numbness? Thanks in advance

the advice is to actually tighten the laces more, and bend the ankle more. this will push the foot to the back of the skate and set the toes free

I prefer my skates a bit looser. For me it's better for top souls and backslides. But everyone is different. 😉

Fair enough! to get more sideways flex it can be nice to have them looser.

I've never been one for lacing my skates tbh. I know it's very important for some people, but I just have a tight fitting skate and secure my foot with the buckle and I'm good to go! I only have one setup I do any laces up on and that's not even on the boot that's on the liner.

Don't u get heel lift or the ankle shifts about?

You should never actually wrap your laces around the back of hockey skates. Unless you are a pro or have money to blow then it's bad practice... You will end up cracking the spine on the achilles protector and not have that extra support
