Instant Fan. A great homage to a relatively unknown artist. I had some unorthodox LA friends in the 90s who exposed me to Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, DJ Shadow, and Amon Tobin. So great to see there are people carrying"the torch".

Making this video was an incredible experience...Fun fact: it was practically an impromptu performance...I showed up to basically jam with these guys one night (this was in Brooklyn, NYC)..nothing planned musically...had no idea we were going to record OR film it... had never been to this cool space beforehand... and voila...it was magic! It was really thrown together and I was just looking to play some good music with a couple friends...this is what came out. Journey to Reedham, and Squarepusher, in general, is not breakcore. Back in the day, we used to call this "drill". Amazing, nonetheless. And I know subgenres get convoluted, but SP is not breakcore.

(p.s. we saw squarepusher close his set at the bangface weekender festival in 2008 while many ravers caused to rain glowsticks around us ha...he did this wonderful thing where he let the motif ride out at the end and kept slowing it down)
