The Holocaust, the Nazi regime of mass-murder and persecution, is commemorated the world over today - including memorials for the 1.1 million killed in Auschwitz death camp, liberated exactly 75 years ago today. Steven Frank’s father was murdered there before seven-year-old Steven, his mother and two brothers were sent to Westerbork transit camp and Theresienstadt ghetto near Prague. If this was a black person focused on colonialism/w.supremacy/eurocentrism and the atrocities which are a key aspect and foundation to social relations and social positioning. Would you feel the same way you do about this man? If not you are as bad as the people who are responsible for these crimes against humanity, just because you do not directly press the button of war doesn't mean you get to masquerade as though you aren't a part of the collective who are the reason there even is such a button and what ensues when it's pressed.

@@LynchtheFinch "Calm down"? I asked a very simple logical question....no exclamation marks or threats made, but es this is a very serious subject...crimes against humanity usually are aren't they? Should we NOT talk about specific kinds? Of course we shouldn't....go ahead and don't but I will....like I said, it's a serious issue. And collective delusion, denial hypocrisy and extreme double standards being exercised is always a perpetual attack which is why I asked the question.

Please don't compare colonialism and it's crimes to the crimes of the Holocaust. It only feeds relativization and lessens the impact of the events. The atrocities commited of colonialism are a topic of their own and do not belong here. The only thing you're doing right now is bringing down the voice of a survivor of the Holocaust.

@@-ucanthandledatruth01-12 though I understand you, white people's voices get heard more often it seems... colonialism isn't really caught up on at all....

I feel censoring the footage is insensitive, people had to endure the horror, sometimes we should see these things just to remind us to never repeat them.

He more than likely has SEVERE PTSD. Who wouldn’t? Unfortunately, they knew so little about mental health back then that he more than likely went without proper treatment for a long time. Many were told to just forget that it happened. To push it down which is the worst thing to do with such severe trauma. You have to confront it or it WILL come out and eat you alive. God Bless him. I hope he has gotten the mental health help he needs to give him some mental peace after dealing with this horrible horrible trauma
@ojj3340
@ojj3340 7 ай бұрын
@@allshookup1640not everyone that experiences trauma develops PTSD. Clinically, there is also no such thing as “severe” PTSD. In any case, the questions asked required this gentleman to have to remember past traumatic experiences; at no point he avoided the questions, or was unable to remember relevant details which are symptoms characteristic of PTSD. You also wouldn’t know, same as the rest of us, how this gentleman chose to deal with what happened; that is, as it should be, personal to him. It’s good that the general population is becoming a bit more educated about mental health but we still have a long way to go so that we stop ourselves from turning into armchair psychologists and potentially causing harm to others as a result.

Why censure the footage? This is censoring the truth. If you bring a wonderful man to speak about his horrific experience and bot only his story, stop hiding and sugar coat things. By blurring the footage you aren't spreading awareness. We don't live in a bubble. This is reality and it should be shown as it is.
