This video is extra special, cause I did this hike on my 2019 Japan trip, but from Kibune to Kurama. Really brought a tear to my eye looking at everything through a personal gaze. Thank you for documenting it so well❤️

Small train up the mountains, long walks in the woods, temples here and there, combini at the end. Couldn't think of better way to spend a day in Japan

Super useful for my next trip to Kyoto and planning to eat in Kibune ;)

My plan is going to Kurama and Kibune too! This video helped because I was worried about transportation and how that would actually look like. A tip I found was, start from Kibune, and work your way down the hike to Kurama as opposed to hiking up

Ha! Looks like we chose the harder route!!! No wonder I was so sleepy later!!! Thanks Jerado! :D

Can’t wait until we are all able to visit Japan again. Thank you this was lovely. We almost did this walk when in Kyoto last December but I wasn’t sure how it would be in Winter. You have convinced me it’s a must do next time we go.

Oh YAY!!! It can get cold sometimes, but as long as it's not snowing it's totally doable!!!

Me and my fam went to Kifune Jinja for Kifune Matsuri about three years ago and we were able to have Kawadoko Ryouri there on the stream. It was a phenomenal experience!

The Nagashi Somen has been cancelled this year :-/ About two weeks ago their was a big storm, so that rail line stopped at Ichihara. It was a mess getting up to Kurama.
