I watch a few different channels with this type of content and I have to say, you have kinda ruined me for most of them. I enjoy the way you present your content. Keep up the excellent work.

If possible, I look at the brake and (if there) clutch pedal, see how worn it is.. you can easily see if it's AT LEAST rolled over once... sometimes the seat bolsters and door armrests and the like will let you know if it has rolled over as well.. Just in case someone 'swears' to you nono, it's never rolled over, sir.. that brake pedal tells a looooong story.. : )
@walterwhitaker13952 жыл бұрын
That backfire is valve timing going south! The clue was that blown out muffler! My guess is the timing chain has got the SAGS! but start by putting a timing light on it and look at the distributor number one cylinder location with the timing mark on the damper.

New sub!!! I’m in the same process with a 97 shortbed pickup. A old man had it sitting in his yard for 7yrs. So far I’m in with a complete new fuel system and she’s running.

Makes me miss my dads old truck. He had an '83 Sierra Classic. Sold it 20 years ago. It'd be worth a lot of money today. Back then, these trucks sold for $5,000 for a nice one. Probably can't touch a nice one for less than $25k today.

I had a 76 GMC 3/4 ton 454 with a TH400. It was an awesome truck, but I needed to combat some major rust issues (cab mounts and floorboards), and my health was not up to it. I got an offer I couldn't refuse, and let it go. I miss that truck.

Got a pal that had a 54 Chevy 1/2 ton and every spring he'd take both doors off and every fall he'd put 'em back on.

Back in the day, shutting off the ignition while under way and then turn the key back on would explode the Gas accumulated in the muffler which made a loud bang and also destroyed many mufflers! Foolishness is still with us! Ron PTL USA

I have a 1977 Chevrolet K20 4x4 that used to be my dad's truck, he gave it to me a few years ago and I recently started working on it to get it going again. My dad has told me a few times over the years that I should get rid of it because it's just a money pit but I just can't do it because I have memories attached to it. I'm hoping to get it going in the next few months. There isn't that much I need to do to it but I only get to work on it on the weekends. I wish the cab of my truck was in as good of condition as the one in this video.

I have drove chevys for years an still do I’ve noticed my muffler s were like that. Now I know what’s doing it. I thought that’s what was doing it u know nothing can contain that much horsepower. Shut yeah.

When I was young my dad had a pin hole in his radiator and he cracked an egg and put it in. He said that when you start it the egg would be drawn to the hole and seal it. It seemed to work cause it didn't leak.

Excellent video as always. Really that old girl fired right up. When you become a huge KZbin channel, don’t change like everyone else does. One question: Is that a big block or just a 350?

During the gas tank redirection I pulled a groin muscle when your stretched over to grab that nut off the tire. By the way, thanks for the tip about too much Chevrolet HP and the ware n tare effect it has on mufflers. Also, I've been told if you clean the area of the tire you're patching really, really good, you can get away using 1/2" scotch tape but only in limp mode until you reach Chads Garage !
