Great video my friend!!...I have been trying to find a used go pro to start filming the sourcing of machines for my machines and motors that I will be using for the building of my 1932 Morgan and 1935 Mg race car projects...I love the style of your videos and you have inspired me to start filming my own stuff. I will let you know when I start and what exactly the name will be...Thank you-john

Amazing work. Building something more or less from scratch, takes a great talent.

Thank you. Putting parts together that have no business being together. Haha. Making something from nothing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Setting up the steering is probably the most stress related part of any build--you're getting there Mike. You'll be tearing up and down the driveway before you know it!😎

When you were mocking up the steering, my ol' Buddy Smert used to say: "That was like trying to shove a noodle up a wildcats ass." This baby is going to be one unique Hot Rod Dragster ! ! ! Thanks for the frequent videos! ...Newk from Kentucky

Hello from Northern California can't wait to see that thing smoke the tires all the way down the track and or get some nice wheelies
@ThisOldHotrodКүн бұрын
Oh boy. No wheelies ! Those are bad. Things break when dragsters do wheelies. Need to learn how to drive it … hoping it spins the tires good enough to keep the nose down 😁👍🏼

Did you ever think of drilling some large access hole down the length of the tube ? Then you could see if the washer and nut started straight . Lighting holes of what ever size looks good. Just a thought. Good video.
@ThisOldHotrodКүн бұрын
@@tommygay8649 I’m planning on drilling lightning holes. But to use them to line up the nut and washer isn’t really needed. It’s pretty obvious when the nut threads on the it’s very coarse threads. They were nicked. I ran the thread chaser over it and they cleaned right up. No issues. Ow. 👌🏼😁

Jesus Mike...put a "Crush Section" on that "Column Rod"!!!!!!! ..I witnessed a dirt track Mustang driver, taken to the Hospital with a cut off column rod sticking out of both sides of his body!!!...Crashes happen...

@@billrandell4641 how is that possible to put one on a 3/4” steeel shaft. Nothing is safe about a vintage dragster. Not trying to build a unsafe car. But I think it comes with the territory.
