This coop looks beautiful but as someone who takes care of chickens I see a bunch of problems with some of the features. The doors are a bad choice for example - how are you keeping rodents and predators out with those doors? Also they didn't install a small door for when it's cold and you want the chickens to be able to come and go freely but don't want to keep the human doors open and let out all the heat inside, or for when it's stormy and you don't want a bunch of rain inside your coop. Plus, assume anything inside the coop will get pooped on. A sink is a nice idea but it's going to get pooped on and in a LOT. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a nest in the winter when it's not being used :) Posting this here for anyone who might want to copy this design as there are already a few people in the comments.

I have a question about the sliding door. Specifically where the basin drain exits. In the video, when the doors are installed, the drain is not plumbed. How was the drain plumbed to clear the sliding door?

And how do you keep mice out of a sliding door? I wanted to have that on my shed but I definitely have mice to consider.
@tacojohnhg81818 ай бұрын
No handles on the doors? Also seems weird to choose a faucet that specifically has both hot/cold knobs instead of one of the single knob/lever varieties. All looks good though, just got to wall off that sink or it will be full of poop and eggs in days lol

@@ggreensuper1256I don't see how it is possible. We don't have chicken coops in my neighborhood but we do have plenty of all-season bird feeders. Any unlimited supply of food will eventually attract the wrong type of rodent and that becomes a problem for everyone in the area. 🤨
