I like that these are real construction guys!. No better example than in this clip at 5:33 “That's almost dead-nuts." - Kevin O'Connor 🔨😂 Won't hear that on hgtv!

It's not vulgar though, the dead is the same thing as dead serious, and nuts means fanatical. It's from the 1800s when the words had slightly different usage. But if he had said an RCH though...lol

How about getting concrete mix into brick steps that have cement on top but needs to filled underneath? I need something like a tube to push the cement as deep as i can get . I thought of a mortar bag but thats not going to get the mortar as far back as i would want. Help!
@adamguymon70963 жыл бұрын
I wish that you would have done the other hole as well? You could always get a small syringe and fill it up with the mix and just push it into the hole?

Before I saw this, I crumbled up a chunk of matching brick with a hammer and added white glue; mixed well and poked into the holes for a perfect match. They're invisible unless you look for them.

White glue is water soluble. Your repair won't last a year.
@mcresearch3 жыл бұрын
@@HBSuccess I did the repair two years ago and it's going strong. It's inside the house so I'm pretty confident, especially when Elmers isn't water soluble once it dries.

Could this same process be used to fill anchor holes in a concrete slab to try and match color?

Mark is a good guy as are the other newer faces on TOH. But to me and I don't really know why, none of the newer folks have the same timeless appeal as does the original crew Roger, Tommy, Richard, or Norm. And while Kevin has successfully been around for quite awhile, he's a second compared to Steve Thomas. Change is inevitable though and having grown up with the original pro's, I suppose viewers these days will similarly bond with their crew.

100 year old house. Fireplace was built with the core holes showing. Very hard to clean. Lots and lots of holes. And these holes are big. How do I fill in these holes. Some of the bricks have the 3 holes and some have the smaller 8 holes. Terrible. I don’t know what the builder was thinking. But spiders love these cozy condos. Help
