That was a good one. A tip from me: always keep the plug hole blocked / covered when working in a sink or bath to prevent items falling down there.

I like that pop-up/pop-down sink drain. No more fussy assemblies. Best part of that whole video. Are these drain assemblies available in the big box stores? Or only in the professional plumbing supply houses? Richard, thank you. You’re a pro and are appreciated!

I'd like to share this: It is common knowledge we have P Trap on our sink and shower floor drain - to prevent sewer gas from backing up. But did you know that the P-Trap itself, after some time would collect gunk from all the soap, dirt and grim along it's inner surface and it stinks? There are numerous remedies to this such as Vinegar + Baking Soda etc... But nothing beats using a high pressure washer.

Should always take out the aerator before turning the water on to prevent any debris that has been introduced into the lines. This happens when you shut the feed valves off and back on, (especially on multiple turn valves)

Hey, I was told yesterday and today by 2 different plumbers that my stopper with the new faucet set could not be used because the stopper hole was too small. Also, one of the nuts rusted underneath one of the knobs and they said they had to cut the old faucet set out. Also, the actual water faucet they installed is not stable. I am able to move it side to side. Also, now the pedastool sink teeters where it was secure before. Again, they say wait for the caulk to dry. Is this normal or should I complain again? My pedastool sink was installed about 6 years ago.

nice video, I'm looking to replace our kitchen faucet for an old porcelain sink. Our tools are too large because the space where the facet bolts sits under the porcelain is so small. barely an inch. I'd hate to take out the whole sink(not in our budget) any tips on tools would be really helpful. :D

With enough finesse and patience you can replace all these parts without detaching the sink from the wall or removing the pedestal. It takes 3 times as long and requires 10 times the patience to get your wrenches under the drain, but it’s doable. That way you don’t need to remove, recaulk, or repaint. Easier and quicker for professionals to remove when time is money.

As you said, Richard, the sink didn't have to come off the wall. The caulk didn't need to be cut to lift the sink off the base either, it would have flexed enough after bolts in wall were loosened.
