The importance of “match marking”. I would’ve put the housing together dry and mic’d every O.D. on the bearings & I.D. to make sure the running clearances were right and the bores lined up. Could still be binding a little from the dowel pin holes. Although I agree it looks like someone honed it out with a file. 🤣🤣 Good video! 👍

I was always told although manufactured in mass the case halves were a set machined together. I put a hole in my V6 and replaced the whole block. I can imagine if you ease them together and don't force the taper pins they could match 👍 Nice work as usual Thanks for taking us along in your adventures

With mismatched cases, skip the tapered pins and try centering cases while slowly tightening bolts.
