Aaah, that brought back memories; the lockdowns, no live audiences and Bangtan doing everything to keep bringing ARMY content. Me too, Roscoe, I miss Jin too. They had to film their performances and BTS was stunning, as always. That space they left for Yoongi always gets me. Thanks for this reaction, Roscoe!

This is the time when Suga was recovering from shoulder surgery and missed alot of performances. But they always included him by leaving a space between the 2 members of where he would be. The air/gap is a place holder for Suga and I always thought that was such an amazing thing they did. Even when they did V lives, they would have a picture of him. One performance Suga was literally turned into a Snowman.

Yes, the staircase references the mv for N.O, which was all about stopping/resisting injustice, but ON is about moving forward through the pain. The orchestral arrangement is from N.O. In the first mv, BTS were in black school uniforms at the beginning, then the wardrobe changed to white streetwear, and girls in white dresses stood at the edges of the brightly lit white stairs, playing violins. Here BTS was in black and silver, each one with his own distinctive style (not uniforms). Male dancers in black line the stairs, holding drum sticks. And that close-up of the shoe echoes the first mv. The set with wide banners/drapes radiating from the center is like the first mv. In N.O, flashing lights alternated red to white. Here the white lights change to red, orange, and purple. And at the end we get one bright ray where Suga's place was, reminding us of their present struggles, and looking toward a bright future.

Loved this performance version of Black Swan. And always the gap. The purple jumpsuit that lives in ARMYs hearts-yasss Hobi. This dance break was 🔥

Thanks for your appreciation as always Roscoe ☺As a Hobi bias of course I love this performance, esp the dance break! 😁🤩 As you didn't recognise the hark back to the N.O. MV with the staircase scene, it'd be fun if you could react to that -it was 2014 I think, still in the eyeliner era 😄and the song is all about them rejecting the pressurised school system in SK, where parents and society push and push kids to get high grades, to get into the best universities (there's a bit in lyrics that says "to the SKY", S,K & Y being the initials of the 3 top unis)..and then of course high paid jobs...no wonder that SK has the highest suicide rate for young people out of all the developed counntries 😟 It's the kind of song that made them stand out as being different from their peers at the time, not being afraid to be outspoken about usually taboo subjects, which we obv love about them. They also did a live performance of it at the 2019 MAMAs, when they looked back to their younger selves thinking at that point that they would be having their hiatus in 2020.

Just so you know Roscoe the stairs are supposed to connect to their song NO, I believe (in the MV off No they have an exact same staircase they walk done on). I can't remember exactly what they said in the interview, but they said On is kind of like a continuation of their song NO...

Sir? As A West Indian 'Army Mom' who've followed them since '16. And like MANY Women/young girls etc (Globally)...who...(I've since learnt) were also on the verge of 'Giving in/giving up'. Finding BTS ( and their Global message of "Love Your Self" back then) ....Saved MANY lives. Including mine. This performance was when Suga was undergoing Shoulder Surgery which was MUCH needed. He had hidden his pain for YEARS from (his company) n the public. Done 'dance moves' which would cause him to lie in his Hotel room....(from NY to Brazil to Dubai)....where the No1 Surgeon would shoot a HUGE INJECTION into his 'Shoulder' of Cortisone.....to 'Numb It'. ......Just so he could perform KILLING DANCE MOVES.....for HOURS....... ......To a Sold Out Arena. Don't believe me? Pull up ANY LIVE BTS show...(Focus on Suga). In Brazil etc etc !!..........He was FINISHED. His brothers....'covered for him'. Edit. 2020 MMAS.........for MILLIONS OF US....dealing with Covid, back then . Even if 'Suga' was missing. Due to his shoulder surgery. BTS continued and SHOWED LOVE TO US...........AROUND THE WORLD..........on my tiny Island. Once Covid hit. In order to contain it...None allowed on the streets between 7am to 6 pm. Otherwise - Arrested!! Imagine how it KILLED our Farmers...who were accustomed to feeding their flocks of goats/cows etc......from sun down to sun up? We were only allowed to enter 'Grocery Shops'...at a certain time/day (for 30 mins). Our Army had a list from A-Z. Is it your ..'time/letter'? Ok. 30 MINS....otherwise....you WILL BE removed. Too many to follow to cope?....keep it moving. Yea. On my tiny West Indian Island of Montserrat. Knew BTS since 2016 (as an Army Mom). Fuck the Virus (back then) . To this day. 2020 MMA is KNOWN....amongst (Millions). World wide. During the Pandemic.....BTS.....gave us HOPE. LOVE. STRENGTH..........when our family members were dying around us.... You may laugh today, Sir. And That's your right but......had you been there back then? .......I amongst Millions..........laughed n cried when BTS - 2020 MAMA was released. If even for just a tiny bit. Their Performance and MESSAGE....even if (false)....gave Millions of us, the strength to face another day. Borahea 💜💜

During the on performance kim taehyung / V thought was so handsome and stood out the most to me with his soulful voice/ visuals even though at the time I didn’t know his name or how to tell them apart in the beginning of 2020 was when I started listening to to bts it helped be enjoy music again cause at the time I was finding that most of the American music had been sounding the same to me they will always be my fav boy group and army forever was so glad to have found them and find new other girl/boy groups through listening to them. Ps I’m a V bias but love all boys equally aswell

In another react we talk about the voice of V, can do more extreme notes but he wanted to remain faithful to his proposal of touching the heart without exaggeration, I was also very sad because he lost an important vocal award in Korea for not having followed this line, even though the competitors had lower vocal quality. I hoped that abroad this could be perceived and appreciated, but unfortunately even those who understand that he made an album with songs and vocals of impeccable taste still give in to xenophobia... 😓😓😓
