Amazing video. Really great and digestible overview of what is such a complex subject. I was wondering if any of the engineers involved within the AI revolution, who are specifically focused on targeting the potential within the marketing industry take a moment to contemplate who these HIGHLY targeted ads would entice to pull the trigger on a purchase if/when the ability to work and generate a living wage is rendered all but impossible due to the mass implementation of autonomous/AI powered tech. Times change, cultures change and MANY street cleaners lost their jobs when horses were replaced by the automobile, but there has always been a kind of equilibrium to these sorts of shifts. The potential for an unprecedented termination of many positions within so many verticals without any “lower skill requirement” alternative is a prospect I find myself thinking about even more than the potential for AI manifesting a real world T1000.

It would be cool, if there were distributed GPU heaters. Instead of a gas Boiler you have a GPU, that can be throttled up. Maybe in the future it is a viable idea.

Would be very interested for JCal and Sunny on TWIST pod to estimate demo cost of AI solutions and extrapolate actual run cost vs pricing models to market

lmao hearing JCal say "do gamers buy AlienWare of a Dell". Gamers are building their own machines, even the teenagers, all the parts have gotten so cheap, and the ROI is massive. Latency and resolution just cant compare when local vs streaming. Not yet at least. TBH one could imagine a future where all these gamers and their juiced up systems in the future contribute their excess compute to some distributed system.... The compute contained in the "gamer cloud" , i'd bet, is massive

o to finish my roast, no gamer has ever bought a Dell. Most are building from Asus mother boards if they care

Market manipulation maybe. I mean, Nvidia stock is all over the shop right now. Something is driving this.

I would say the part you are missing is the “money” part or the “we lay it out so the devs can play it out” part…technically, I’d say ur kinda missing a bunch of the parts contained in this video, but it’s a complicated subject matter, so that’s bound to happen at some point. 👍
