I'm glad you enjoyed LA! I was born there but my family moved to Texas like many others. To me, LA represents all the extremes of American society: extreme wealth, extreme homelessness, extreme beauty, extreme diversity, extreme highways, extreme crime (LA car chases are their own TV genre in the US lol) .... etc. It's such an iconic city, but I don't know if I could live there. Visiting is fun, though. I can't wait to see what you think of Vegas! Also, you guys sure know how to spend money 🤣🤣. But that's easy to do in LA, I guess.

I am so happy you enjoyed your trip to LA, and you got to be with some of your friends! I enjoyed Hollywood when I saw it but like you it’s so sad to see so many people living on the streets. Glad you splurged on good food and wine. It’s strange thou living in the states seeing things we ordinary see it becomes ‘same ole same’ to us but your video made it seem so “wow” again. I guess when we travel outside the states it is amazing to see the things the natives see as amazing and different. Guess that is what makes us tourist we enjoy things that others see as ordinary as unique to us! Thank you for sharing your trip with me- I am learning not to take such sights as “just normal” and trying to appreciate what others see.

Right.... his reaction to the school bus made me laugh. Every time I see one I am usually stuck behind it with all its "STOP" signs up to let the kids off / safely cross the street.

I guess we all get excited for things that are so common in other places but not in ours. since the pandemic I actually started appreciating things around me as well! Even in Seoul, I have the same reaction when I see Gwanghwamun, the Gyungbokgoong palace when I was there almost every week doing my conscript police service haha

Glad you enjoyed your first trip to LA! Next time (post pandemic) you’ll have to visit our beach cities - Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Venice. For the in-n-out burger, did you order it animal style? That’s the real magic. As for the homeless situation, it’s always been rough here but it was made worse because of the pandemic. They started allowing the tents on the sidewalks and now they can’t seem to stop it. They clear it out one day and the tents are back the next day. I live in a fairly nice neighborhood in the westside and there are tents everywhere in the surrounding areas.

Beautiful shots and the food looked amazing! There’s a city near by called Burbank and it’s nice too! My husband is from there so we go often. Yes, Hollywood is flooded with homeless people. LA is like the epicenter of the homeless problem in our country. Quite sad.

Burbank selling point = Disney Animation Studios headquarters. California in general has a really huge problem with homelessness, but LA is such a hot spot that it's really concentrated there. Everyone goes there thinking they can make something of themselves and then end up on the streets.

it was sad thinking that they all must have some kind of story behind it.. probably had dreams that didn’t work out. I noticed a huge problem with substances.. will talk about this in another video because I thought I should be cautious with my words

@@ThizisDanny it’s a huge problem among the youth here. You can look up the statistics that a lot of people died from fentanyl overdose compared to Covid, suicide, car accidents, and heart disease combined last year. It’s not a sensitive topic for a lot of people. It’s a real problem destroying our communities and people we know. I’ve known many people who’ve used and then get clean. There’s many that overdose and or never get better. My father died from alcoholism and he used to do drugs too. My older brother is a user and I don’t speak to him for various reasons. America has its social problems and this plus mental health issues are a HUGE unaddressed problem. Looking forward to your next videos! Thanks for being real!

OH wow, I used to live in Hollywood. I was 10 minutes from the Farmer's Market you visited. I miss some of the foods of LA, and we used to go to Thai Town and eat noodles at 3am. Ahhh....the good ol' days! Glad you went to Santa Monica, and, at times like this, I wish I was there to really show you around! Too bad.........I hope you had some Mexican Food from the local food trucks. They are the BEST!!! Today, the homeless situation has become out of control. There is a amazing man that is going to take on the challenge and help these people! What if we all could do something for someone?

I recommend the hike up to Griffith Observatory, beginning at Los Feliz and Fern Dale. Be there no later than 8 am cuz ther is only street parking and it fills up early.

The U.S. is a great country to visit if you have the bucks$ to take advantage of all its attractions. I love LA - always have - lots of good memories but not so naive to believe every area is safe - not. Lived in the LA Valley many years - was so excited when the subway was built. Met lots of caring people. I think among Americans, Californians are a bit special. Southern hospitality without the accent or prejudice. Lol - We have so many wonderful attractions in nature - beaches, mountains too. Great restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and unique areas in cities. If you want to live a life a little on the edge, a faster pace, and have enough $ to afford the rent LA is a great place to live. 😃It has an energy that just gets under your skin even with being careful because of crime and gangs. Cali is a beautiful place! (I always have to edit to fix typos!)

Sunset in Sedona, Arizona is pretty cool. Next time you come stateside, consider driving to utah see the mighty 5 then circle back through Arizona. America is an awesome place. Grand canyon and Vermilion cliffs is a must too. I don't like shopping when we go, a hassle packing the luggage flying home. When you go north, Banff national park in Alberta Canada on springtime is gorgeous but yukon in winter is the best if you catch the aurora borealis. Make memories while you can.

I used to go to CA, both for business and pleasure with friends and family. If you come again, try the northern coast of SanFrancisco, a whole different vibe. Fisherman’s wharf , wine country, plenty of fresh street seafood and wonderful restaurants. Of course there’s plenty of night life but I was not so much into that. There it’s warm, not hot during the day and really cold at night so bring a mix of clothes. I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip to LA with your friends. Great Vlog.

Yea, I live in NorCal and went to college in San Francisco. It's a totally different vibe up here from Southern California. I also suggest going across the bay, as San Francisco is a completely different vibe from places like Berkeley or Oakland.

It’s always weird to see “tourist” videos of your home town. LA is a city of neighborhoods. Each one has its own look and feel, and different amenities. You obviously fit right in to Beverly Hills. :) When you come back you can explore a little further.

0:44 Southern CA is a dry dust bowl... in fact, California is in a constant drought because Northern California sends all its water to dry Southern California. There was talk/debate several years back about splitting the state into 2 separate states because NorCal loses a lot of its resources to SoCal and gets no benefit from it like other state-to-state partnerships. In other words, not shocked the glass is dirty because it's just a desert down there.

Took a trip to LA & stayed in Hollywood. It's beautiful there. Met some great ppl & ate great food (best was a fresh salad🤷🏿‍♀️😉)

Nice laid out vlog! I was in LA two years ago and had a lovely time. Traffic was manic though; how did you cope? Missed out on Las Vegas so shall plan my next trip around seeing one of the shows there. Well done Dan!
