This Way Or That Way came out first. (94) Kreepin' While Ya Sleepin' came out the next year. Also are you sure you don't mean interracial? They're almost all from Frisco. Also most of this album was recorded at G Man Stan's studio Find A Way; which I'm pretty sure was in Oakland or SF. It has a few other SF producers too.
@hookboogie81032 жыл бұрын
Yes sir, you're actually on point homie
@WINDSORTOWNSAV3 жыл бұрын
It literally says Messie Marv on the front of the album lol
@towndrunk18095 жыл бұрын
There was a tape (forgot the name) before This Way and That Way and then Kreepin While Ya Sleepin. Mac Marv. Look up FSMS by Hook Boogie. All before Messy Situationz except Kreepin which came out around the same time. He was fire on those tracks and all those projects were fire too! Produced by legendary Bay producer and guitarist G-Man Stan! Artwork by legendary designers Phunky Phat Graphx! That song JT talking about is called Poor Mans Dream but he produced Backstreets for Mess off that album. Hook changed his stuff around a little bit after those projects and became Natural Mystics but not sure if he’s still doing music. He made great stuff! But to ask JT this question was a great one or however it came up. I would love to hear JT talk more about the history of music coming out of SF and his neighborhood even tho parts of what he was saying was a bit inaccurate.

It's one white boy; 4 black dudes, his name on the album says Messie Marv, and from the songs I've heard it all sounded like normal rap from that time. They rapped about weed, the hood and so on. If tapping about weed is nature tap then I guess. Y'all should've researched before posting this. You would've won a "beer, dinner, or blunt" cause in Big Bruhs words 😂

Y'all need to get underground rebellion on this show, the pioneers of the hyphy movement, they've been doing it since the early 90s, creating their own style, sound, and dance moves that was different from the mobb music coming out at the time. Krushadelic, one half of the group and the mastermind unfortunately passed away last year though but Jullie-D is still alive. S.N.O.P. needs to get on here too, they were a group associated with/produced by Krushadelic RIP, credit needs to be shown where credit is due. Krush and Jullie rapped about Mr. Furley back in '93 on rotten apples, well before Mac Dre did. And peep their drownin in a sea of funk song live to watch them get hyphy in full effect.

For all the simple minds that think JT is hatin. He is really sending a message to his friend that even though we understand the effect Filmore has had on his life and what he is going through today, that there was a time when that was not his lifestyle. At one time (PRE FILMORE) Marv rapped about things of purity and substance and he can revert back to this instead of giving up and letting the drug lifestyle be the end of his story. Shout out to JT. Most of these niggas gonna miss the message you delivered here.
