fyi, fixate can happen at least 3 times in a row on the same person. Had it happen to me in lfr.

also just a note, fixate can happen 3 and even 4 times last night just so people know. fortunately I'm a resto drood and got a displacer beast off into a life grip away from the door as the 4th one came in first time seeing it go that many, but yes apparently fixate has no limits other than luck and incredibly low probability of major issues

Helps to have a pally or pallies with devo aura so you cant get interupted, we have 3 in our line up so much love for that and got then to do two one after another and had long cast healing cooldowns (tranq) in that period to get through the shouts longer.

The person who gets fixate most stand in a 25yard range from the boss when the fixate is gonna end! if u look @ the HC tacs u will understand it!

You know in the LFR mess you don't get 1 shot by his fixate..... So there's basically nothing to worry about.

It's because kiwi and brit accents don't properly say TH, they just use F. Confusing because Free and Three sounds the same when they say it.

Same happened to my guild. You can do Siegecrafter Blackfuse before Thok, it's more mechanics, but less of a gearcheck than Thok. Also, if your healers are good enough you can 2 heal Thok, and pick up another DPS to help push.

The paladin talent called "Holy Avenger" gives you a visual Ashbringer for the duration which I believe is 18 seconds.

nummtaz, use EF not SS, EF with 5 Bastion of glory and 3 HP is like a LoH and tics for 200 k every 1.5 sec for 30 sec. its OP as fuck..

My guild has been struggling with Thok thing is though that I think we're a bit low geared since the average ilvl is about 544 and our healers are on about 540 ilvl. Are we to low or can we clutch it?

OK, so something that fat boss did not mention and it is very important the boss will fixate on you more than once if you are further than 30 yards away that means if you get fixated you don't take off and run too far from him u need to stay close enough that way his next target is another player it is not totally random he fixated on a player further than 30 yards away thats how tripple fixates occur

I would suggest you to 1 tank it with 3 healers,we tried 2tank/2heal aswell as 2 tank/3heal. During the phase one we took between 10-11 stacks, and during phase 2 we kited that the dino until it reached 9-10 stacks. BL in start.

My guild is currently progressing through SoO. We have hit the siegecrafter/thok roadblock. My guild seems to think that our dps simply isn't good enough seeing as he hits the final P1 with about 30% hp left. However, looking at the dps charts in this video, your overall dps only beats ours by roughly 40k, which surely wouldn't make such a significant difference. Anyone able to help us out?

Yeah we've moved on to Siegecrafter now, our best attempt is 20%, should get him tonight. Also, we've swapped our healers classes around, when we were doing Thok we had a hpal and rdruid with enhance shammy offheals, we're thinking when we reach him again we'll try hpal, rdruid and rshammy. 30% was our best attempt if we made it that far, which was 1 attempt out of roughly 30.

Oh, and one thing that wasn't mentioned, if the person with fixate runs too far, Thok will re-fixate and you'll be in a world of pain. Keep him at a distance, just not too far.

We had one of our healers get fixate three times in a row, luckily Thok was at the far south and he managed to kite him all the way up north and our healer survived :P So yes, three times in a row is possible.

You can stack in the fire phase... the fire doenst tick that hard... and if you have a shaman is even better cause you can drop SLT and no one will die and it will probably drop everyone to 50% and transition the boss.

The fixates CAN happen 3 times on the same player, and my group found that the fixate has a MUCH higher chance to target the players who are furthest from the boss. So just have one person ready to be fixated far away from the CURRENT fixate target and you'll be fine.

Wow that fight is sick it really puts choice in the teams hand to try out different methods. Whens the last time we've gotten a fight you can really 1 tank and 2 heal if your feeling up to it.

to your knowledge, Thok can fixiate a player 3 times in a row. my guild experienced that 2 times during 1 fight.
