I figured out my intonation issue, I had to use shorter screws on my bridge saddles to bring them back far enough on a few strings. 🤦🏽 the simplest things right😂

Aye, usually the most frustrating things are related to something simple. One of the reasons I love these videos! Kris always reminds us to check the simple things first to find a solution.

Definitely fret leveling! This is one of the most important parts of having a fantastic setup, although I imagine most end users don't attempt it since it's fairly involved

Yeah, it's really easy to mess it up. :) That's why I wasn't sure about including it in this series. But you know what? It might be best to just show it anyways and show the process to everyone. //cheers, Kris

Just to say thnx for all your great help.I can promise you my Yamaha acoustic and electric are incredible guitars.I bought an fg170 back in the 1970's and you cannot believe how beautiful it sounds.Carlos Santana promoted Yamaha but please believe me a 70's Yamaha is incredible and again you cannot beat the prices.I promise I have no connection to Yamaha and you do pay silly money.Listen and learn good Luck !

Moving to a higher gauge set of strings will make a bigger impact than changing the composition of the string metal. Using 10s will have more bass response because the floppier the string is at a given length and pitch, the darker the tone will be.

if u have time pls make also how to shield properly a guitar, a lot from youtube but I really liked ur videos all straight to the point and different techniques of continuity from cavity to cavity in shielding as i heard in somebody that they are using thick string for continuity to connect everything shielding effectively is that possible are there any pros and cons? hehe thanks in advance!🙌

I have a question for another video: If you already have low action via the Trem...in this case a Floyd Rose....and check your relief by using the method of holding first and last frets for the sixth string, will the amount of relief you see under the string and above the fret change if you have the Trem set high? In other words does Action via the Trem change the amount of relief you will see when checking relief?

idk if I'm putting my question in the right place... but, what's the right thing to do if the frets from 12 to 18 (approx) are kinda wasted and buzzing?? (Only in the e, B and G strings)

Les Paul rattles or Chingy sound. Some bridges have a spring all the way across each saddle to hold them in without strings. Mainly Epi models but check for that first.. Its very common. Having your action super low also sounds like Chingy or something lose on a Les Paul.

Hello sir, love your videos! this might not be the best place to ask this question but buying a B stock guitar of 1500€ will it have any DENTS on the paint?
@g.koch.
@g.koch. 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it could have also scratches, not working properly electrics or finish flaws. But if you're lucky you could get one and wonder why that Item was B-Stock in the first place 😂

I'm not sure if this is an issue or not. But on my Chapman ml1 standard modern, I have a issue where there's a lot of feedback when using distortion unless I touch the bridge or jack input. Is there any problem with it?

Hi! Do you think a wraparound bridge would work on an epiphone nighthawk... It has a string through hardtail bridge (the screw holes for mounting the bridge are in a different position than a strat style hardtail, so that doesn't work I think) on a flat top body but it doesn't intonate very well, so I was thinking of getting a compensated wraparound.
@ThomannsGuitarsBasses
@ThomannsGuitarsBasses 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, that will not work unfortunately. Not only because the holes are on the wrong place for a wraparound (which they are) but also because the neck angle is too flat. You'd have a super high string action with a wraparound bridge on that guitar. The saddles are adjustable on the Nighthawk's bridge, so that shouldn't be a problem to set up right. Intonation is hard to set up if the rest of the guitar's setup is not ideal so you have to start there. Neck relief, then check the nut. Then the bridge adjustment should be doable (string action and intonation). We have episodes covering all of these steps, check out our Guitar Tech Tips playlist. The order is important: first neck, then nut and then the bridge. Good luck! //Kris
