I don't think I've seen Zender play, actually 'play' like he used to. Since leaving Jamiroquai, and the 'Travelling without moving' era ... Just goofy interviews ... I think, Stu has a too childish gimme-credit mentality to grasp reality, since jamiroquai age. (Literally he has been exaggerating his importance BY TALK to make his fans believe he is a genius instead of JK and Toby) so he has a difficulty to release an album on himself being escaped by co-workers

Then I meet Stuart Zender (Bass) @ a private function in Elephant Castle spoke to him for a few minutes one of my question was if you must pick one album witch one would that be his response was “Weather Report Back Market 1976” Because of Jay Kay greediness Stuart Zender left the band and to me that was the end of Jamiroquai . .

@@joshuagarden7304 To say he became a mediocre bass player is not true and unfair. Yes, he is working for many many many years on his solo album and I’m wondering when it finally will come out, but he still got his old juice and funk. Just listen to his features on Incognito or DeAngelo tracks. The thing is: Jamiroquai was THE band, it is his home and where he could make his music. His biggest mistake was to leave Jamiroquai and I believe he still regrets it to his day, even if he would never admit it, but another fact is, since he, Simon Katz and Toby left the band, Jamiroquai was never the same. They muted into a commercial pop funk band. Stu cut his wings off and since then he tries to fly again.

@@Mazinga well I think that there might be a lot of shit Stu's been through in he's personal life that quite nobody knows. I personnally liked this video and it was an experience to just watch him go and do he's thing. Also I think that only an experienced musician would at least try to understand Stuart's style of playing. Further more if he's really working on a "solo record" it is more than understandable that it might take it's time. After all he's probably a very demanding musician as well as a demanding boss if it comes to a collaboration work. Sattuuhan sitä.

I love Jamiroquai, Stuart Zender makes me crazy in the first 3 lp (then he gave them up etc etc ..) and in live .. Great groove and surely left its mark in the golden age of acid jazz and is a name to remember .. But there is a tendency to overestimate it a little too much, especially considering what is around today (guys next door who would make many "professionals" turn pale) .. Zender in my opinion, which I love for what he did in the 90s, today he lives on income from what he has done in the past.
