I decided to build the 1996 TWR Yearbook layout called Henry Rides the Rails that you had to acquire all of the pieces individually to build this desirable layout since I have with the exception of some substitution pieces I had laying around. The things I love about this layout is how much you can do such as make new untold stories, how much risers, curves, straight tracks, switches, adapters, engines and destinations you get. Some suggestions to make this layout perfect is remove rusty and instead give Gordon a Knapford Express Coach, and add elsbridge station to remake the sad story of Henry. What I didn’t mention in the video was there were some adjustments made for the tracks since the yearbook one wasn’t right. I decided to film the layout and review in ⁠‪@ThomasWoodenRailway‬ style so all credit goes to him. Also the audio I used in the background is by ⁠‪@SudrianAfro‬ so all credit goes to him and Hit Entertainment. Here are the videos that were from the audio.

If Learning Curve would have made the yearbook layouts actual sets there would have been more desirability for TWR and prices wouldn’t be insane as now. @@ThomasandFriendsWoodenRailway Nowadays Mattel doesn't even try to make Thomas Wooden Railway great anymore; they haven't in two years. I know if I were running the TWR line in 2023, I'd have had new models of characters like Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver and Toad released early that year. Why? Because I know they're who the fans want and who will sell well.

I enjoy when somebody makes layouts based on plans from the yearbooks. I do that from time to time, but I often have to substitute some pieces for similar ones due to lacking the original pieces and/or wanting to add my own unique touches to the layouts. Henry's Tunnel is a great destination and it honestly deserved to last longer than it did, due to a combination of its three upper levels of track adding more diversity to layouts, and it coming with a brick wall with which to seal Henry in. In 1998, it came in a deluxe story pack that included an exclusive sad-faced Henry, a Knapford Express Coach, Elsbridge Station, and four character figures.

It's just that Learning Curve missed out on big opportunities to make layouts from yearbooks as real sets since there would have been more desirability for more TWR and balances the prices and demand.
