The scene of Thomas back on the Magic Railroad should've been kept in the workprint or the final cut, so that everyone wouldn't be so worried or get confused of what happened between the meadow scene and when Lady comes back to life (some don't even look at the scripts unfortunately whenever they do reviews on it). Speaking of the meadow, since this was located between the foot of Muffle Mountain and Shining Time Station, imagine if Stacy, Billy, the kids, Schemer or any of the secondary STS characters were present in this scene to to witness Thomas (and Boomer) for the first time before he falls into the portal. You can imagine some of the reactions being priceless!
