Ich war freudig-überrascht, als ich vor ca. 3 Jahren erstmals Musik von Modern Talking hörte. Der Grund ist, dass ich schon 1957 nach Amerika ging und dadurch mich nicht auskannte was in Deutschland musikalisch passierte. Seitdem habe ich mir wohl alle "Songs" mit Thomas Anders angehört - Dank, dass es youtube gibt und ich mir so auch dieses interessante Interview anhören/ansehen konnte. Weiterhin alles Gute.

Not going to make fun of his English mistakes-- his English is quite good and definitely better than my German-- but errors like these do give us English speakers some insight into how other languages word things. For instance, in the sentence of Anders I quoted above, "what" and "which" would both be replaced by "that" by a native English speaker. Anders not using "that" in either of these contexts implies that has native German does not use "das" but instead "was" and "welchem" (I think that's the word?), respectively. So ironically, if you are trying to learn a language (we're assuming English is your first language), it can be useful to hear native speakers of your target language... speaking English. If something sounds wrong when they're trying to speak English, you can safely assume that it is the right way to say it in the language you are studying.
