This track strikes me as the musical embodiment of all the dreams of humanity combined. Some of humanities greatest achievements have been the result of a dream that has become a reality. And for many, the inspiring work of people like Thomas helps to push those dreams to come true.

Wise words, friend, well said. Sure it's not epic like some of their older tracks, but it's great nonetheless.

Loved that game as a kid. Another one I really liked was Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood
@cruxnajii20563 жыл бұрын
@@syrusalder7795 I haven't even heard of that one. What's it like?
@syrusalder77953 жыл бұрын
@@cruxnajii2056 let's see. It was a weird mix of fps and top down tactical squad shooter. You could pause time whenever you wanted by looking at an overhead map (meant to simulate the recon done or something) to spot potential flank routes on your enemies or you. You could zoom in on any squad within vision, both your own and enemy squads, which helped given there was no free movement on the map, you could only zoom on a unit and look around them. You'd typically have several different kinds of units available, basic riflemen did decently well but assaults were very good at pinning the enemy down due to their high fire rate. They were also very good flankers, as they'd demolish anything not in cover. You also occasionally had a tank to command. Those were fun. Suppression was a mechanic btw. Shoot at en enemy enough and they will be reluctant to pop up and fire back, very useful for setting up flanks. This can happen to you as well though, and mg nests are a huge pain to deal with. You could also assault enemies with your squads, which was basically a suicidal charge, grenade throwing and all, to take the enemies position or die trying. This was generally only done when the enemy was being suppressed and you can't easily flank them. The games should be on steam if you wanted to give them a go.

@@syrusalder7795 That sounds fun! Man, now I wanna play it.
@syrusalder77953 жыл бұрын
@@cruxnajii2056 iirc theres actually a few games in that series, not sure which is first, but do let me know if you enjoy the game. I played it a ton as a kid so it holds a place in my heart even if it doesnt hold up perfectly nowadays
