I have learned in the past few years that Thomas Cranmer was my 15th or 16th grandfather. One of my few cousins is doing our family tree abs discovered it. I likely have a different interest than most in his history. I enjoy learning about him. People are often divided in their feelings towards him. Everyone has their own opinion. That’s perfectly fine. I’m just enjoying learning about my grandad from so long ago.

I suggest that font of captions must be big enough to seen in a big congegation. When shown in the church captions are not readable anymore.

Gedee Aclon thanks for this feedback. Unfortunately when we started this project the aim was only for social media but it grew beyond our control. We have 11 episodes left before series 1 ends. In order to maintain consistency throughout all 48 episodes we have to keep it the same. I’ll defo keep this in consideration for series 2 though. Thank you for your support!

Actually, you can increase the font of captions in the KZbin video by clicking Subtitles on the gear symbol and then click Options. There you can customize the subtitles font as you please.

This was not correct. Cranmer was executed in March 1556 not May 1556

My understanding is that history from this era was not always accurate. I have been looking into Cranmer snd frankly, every thing I read or watch has relatively big inconsistencies. I’m attempting to get at what actually happened but it’s not easy. The general stories to seem to have common threads.

@Dancing Deity Did you know that the Church put the canons of the bible together and it was approved by papal councils? If you don't think the pope or the archbishop are leaders then why do you accept their decision on what's contained in the bible? For the first centuries of Christianity, there was no specific reference to the new testament as it is known today. I do agree with you that no one speaks for god. That includes you and me. We don't even know if there is one.
@elicrowleyycontreras11352 жыл бұрын
@@clearjr1 Because the Papacy is not scriptural and the Universality of the Bishop of Tome is heresy. The Council of Nicea gave the Bishop of Rome and the Bishop of Alexandria equal power, but Rome ignored this and played temporal politics. Truly a lost church. The Queen is not the head of Anglicanism, the Archbishop of Canterbury is. The Queen only facilitates the Church with temporal management such as property and finance matters. The one holy catholic and apostolic Church lives on in Constantinople, Antioch, and Canterbury.

Love this prayer book “Kenοtοw Prayer” (Google it) and adore listening to anything the writer says. The book illustrates clearly anything you want to do to make your own prayers effectively to get them responded. I have currently go through it nevertheless I prefer to read it again. This really make me realize far better to state a great prayer straight and precisely. .

Thomas Cranmer wasn't a faithful Papist until the end. He didn't accept transubstantiation and of course, the 39 articles of the Anglican Church are based off Scripture alone and not Catholic dogmas.

Did Anne Boleyn uphold God's truth with her lover Henry? For that matter did he? No moral good can come from a wrongful act. Both are in hell for that one unrepentant act.

Good thing Cranmer came back to saving faith, otherwise he would be in hell, there not inihilated, but suffering eternal torments of eternal fire - which no-heller heretics deny.

sjurdurkjv Malachi 4:1,3 is plain... "For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall BURN THEM UP, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. ...And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ASHES under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Hell is real and has a real end just like Devil (see Revelation 20:14-21:4; Ezekiel 28:12-18).

What you cited, you no-heller heretic, is NOT hell, merely the end of all flesh ON EARTH. After that there is hell. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched; Mark 9:44. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom; Luke 16:23. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire; Rev. 20:15. Some people will not listen nor learn, for they are blinded by Satan. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire; Jude 1:7. The sodomites are STILL BURNING, they burned on earth, but now they are burning in hell, just like the rich man. They are NOT inihilated.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (Matthew 25:41) That fire is first hell-fire, thereafter the lake of fire. Please do not go there.

Thomas Cranmer received the ending he deserved! Deus vult! The only tragedy is that good Queen Mary didn't burn all of the heretics. I worked in Oxford for a time and often passed the place where the Three Blind Mice were burnt at the stake, regretting that I couldn't have attended the burnings in person. Perhaps I did in a previous life.
