I love how as you say the main body of the song sounds more poppy/cheery, masquerading the lyrics darkness. But at the end, that outro feels like such a pure release of all that emotion that must've been there and built up over your addiction. It's some powerful music, I honestly cannot describe the emotion that outro drums up in me. It feels victorious but at the same time I feel like I'm going to cry due to some hole or void that I can't explain. I love it. probably my favourite instrumental section of all time.

Dude his guitar playing is one for the literal ages. I don't understand how this guy isn't more well known. That's why I dismiss main stream music and the industry. I play any licks or grooves written by this man and people are always blown away. I could imagine Jimmy Page or Evh or dimebag or Johnny mar just being blown away in a this could get loud situation.

I appreciate this, as an addict myself (thankfully almost 16 months sober) the scariest part was asking for help. I didnt even really wanna do the shit anymore by the time I was done, I did because I didn't wanna be sick. I finally got myself away from my old hometown, and got a chance to start over after a stint in rehab.

I'm a Metalhead nerd and this one of my top ten favorite song of all time. I've seen you perform twice back in the Manipulator days. Great fucking song and only wish to seen you played it. Doppelganger, Self-titled and Manipulator are the best albums. After that I stopped listening. I can sort-of relate to you with you with cocaine. It took over my life soo much i couldn't recognize myself. But when I realized how much it changed me, I lost soo much like my daughter family. I know I will never quit because when that stuff is around me, I cave. It got me by the balls, but I manage do a great job not to be around it. This song did scare me when I lost everything but not no more. It makes me feel stronger. Thomas, I love You man . Glad to had met you briefly ✌

I'm still struggling with opiate addiction to this day. I remember those old oc 80's we used to fuck with back in highschool/2006 era. Such a nasty awful problem to have. I'm glad you were able to overcome it brother. Never dealt with anything so evil in my life, and probably won't ever face anything more difficult. That temptation is something you have to live with forever. Stay awesome bro you're my favorite musician of all time... and of course this is one of my favorites. Does such a great job of conveying that terror of acknowledging all of the awful things we do to get by... that inner battle when you feel like shit and don't know how to get out of it... but it's so much more than a song about being a junkie. Love it man. Amazing.

Always loved this song, but never understood it. I've never done drugs in my life, even when I was depressed for over a decade, so I don't relate. I'm going to be honest, I listen to The Fall Of Troy alot, but I never dug into the artists within the band, I guess one day I had the urge to find something out. Thomas Erak's work in his various projects always seem to lock me in, But I love every single track from The Fall Of Troy. Thomas being so talented, I'm genuinely surprised he isn't well known.
