My biggest advice for anyone with children KEEP THEM OFF iPhones, iPADS and anything with a screens or devices with apps. Theres's sadly so many children who are screen addicted, their childhood is in ruins. If I see a young Mum giving their child the iPhone as entertainment I now pull them up and lay down the law. But so often the parents are also screen addicted. I just wonder when BIG TECH is going to address this crisis. KZbin KIDS app really should be shut down. Schools have slowly woken up to the damage tech does to children. My best free advice is buy simple quality toys that have no batteries or any connection to tech.

A good episode in my books to get a feel for the friction and jeopardy that really works in T&F is this episode. Cranky Bugs | Thomas the Tank Engine Classics | Season 5 Episode 1 Compared to Thomas AEG it almost looks and feels like it's from another planet.

The 5 pack is called the “Construction Crew 5 pack”. It’s on its amazon listing but FOR SOME REASON they don’t put it on the box. And also, a few things: 1: Donald has an AEG Motorized model now (not out in Australia yet as far as I’m aware) 2: DACK (Duck) has an AEG Push Along model now which is out in Australia (I believe it’s in Big W stores) 3: They redesigned minis to make their chassis skinnier so that they can fit on the inside of trackmaster 2 track (kinda poor design choice, since that means they can’t work on points), and the second wave (coming out in 2025 for the 80th anniversary) includes some new updated minis including some with rivet detailing and all that. But.. there are 2 that stand out.. 1: There’s a golden 80th anniversary themed thomas. It has the 80th logo on the top and.. A PICTURE OF RAILWAY SERIES THOMAS IN GOLD ON THE SIDE. 2: Remember that trackmaster day of the diesels video you did a long time ago with diesel 10, and you said “GIVE US BACK THE OLD FACE”? Well.. an updated diesel 10 is in this wave with rivet detailing.. AND THEY FINALLY. BROUGHT. BACK. THE OLD. FACE.

finally dipped my Toes into the AEG toys and picked up the Die-cast Toby. very much a modernized version of a classic that doesn’t lean to hard into the “Toony” style that make the Thomas and Percy AEG designs such an eyesore to me. If only they had used this approach to all the characters.

That tub of old TWR came with another large tub of TWR buildings and track. The collection to characters and rolling stock seems to be from a wide year range. So possibly it's been passed down through multiple children.

It's almost as if they are scared to put too much English on the packaging. So the way to fix it is just leave it off. The way AEG is packaged is just so weird, who knows what's really available is the range now because your never shown other characters to collect.

In seeing what's not selling I knew Nia was a hard sell a few years ago, and now it seems far worse. I just wonder how long a franchise owner persists in pushing a character that does not sell. Just think we have in the AEG range Percy, Toby and Nia who have a long history of being dust collectors. Yet there are plenty of other characters in this franchise that we both know are hyper popular but are not available in AEG format. And let's also think how good rolling stock is severely neglected. Having a chat with a Dad in Hobbyco exposed to me what is missing in today's Thomas toys. Always interesting to get the insights from the raw consumers.

I grew up in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and I really miss when the show conformed to real world physics. No bouncing, no ridiculous shenanigans, etc. While I don’t mind All Engines Go existing, it could have been handled a lot better. The show could have continued as it was, and AEG could've been a spin-off for toddlers. But because the franchise is owned by a money-hungry corporation, they decided to go their own way...and things have gone to crap. THE WORLD'S GONE MAD!!!

Mattel just makes bad marketing decisions in general I think that’s just their thing now. They recently released a AEG push along Duck and Motorized Donald which basically confirmed that Duck and the Scottish twins are returning in the show. While yes, the older fans would know who these characters are, the new generation of Thomas fans who this show is aimed at wouldn’t since they haven’t even been introduced, they’ll probably just be very confused if they were to stumble upon these characters in store. Guess they want money so bad that they couldn’t wait until their introduction episode to release these toys?

I understand why you don’t like All Engines Go, but here are the episodes I would recommend watching: The Tiger Train and Something to remember (you need to watch those 2 back to back for a continuity thing) Thomas’ Day Off, Good as New, and Something Broken, Someone Blue (same continuity thing) Salty’s Sea Shanty The Super Axle Thomas For a Day (what many people consider to be the best episode of AEG)

Wow, how things have changed, with the Thomas TV model series the fanboys consider the first 5 seasons are the best shows. Personally I like Calling All Engines DVD. Sad that AEG only has a few episodes that are worthy viewing.

Yayyy, another video with Thomas content. I've always enjoyed them. Please keep posting them if you can, but I know what KZbin can be like. I live in the UK and I would say it's very hard to find Thomas and friends merchandise in shops accept big toys shops but the selection is very small. I'm not a fan of AEG. I don't like the way they look and how they are in the programmes.

I know you can't be bothered to go on Google search, but the five pack is called Construction Crew (Australia has recently got in a certain pannier tank months ago in Big W) I feel like this pack was nameless, because its similar to other individual five packs, including the one with a gold Thomas. Diesel in AEG is also just a competitive and mischievous friend character rather than opposing rival.

Hi lep first off I would like to give my condolences for the loss of teady losing a pet can be hard. In turn to the pack name it's simply called online the Construction Crew 5 pack. It most likely has something to do with the big thing in the next season. There's apparently going to be a multi episode construction story that's comming out next year. As for the other pack you mentioned it's from last year's movie. Although your lucky to have thomas merch where you live. Further up north on the coast thomas stock has been lacking heavily as I now have to make a 40min round trip just to go to a store that stocks the stuff. In turns off peg sitters I've noticed that the majority of stock is peg sitters such as the talking nia. Anyway I've gone on long enough who knows I might see you at epping model show this year if so I'll say hello. Have a good one Leo.

The last store that has the Thomas toy cell is the store where I had the fight to buy Salty years ago and it's also a store where I was treated like a shoplifter. A item in my bag from another shop was scanned by the entry staffer there even after I explained it was from The Reject Shop. Toxic shop to go into, that's why I hate going in there. My favourite shop KMart no longer carried the Thomas toys, it had a history of carrying that toy line going back to the ERTL Thomas toys. I was shocked when it was removed. Very sad to see the Thomas franchise imploding. But I'm also not surprised. AEG is digging a very neat grave for Thomas to lay in.

Mattel going to the trouble of printing a name on something? Inconceivable! Too much effort required. The fundamental issue of AEG is that it appeals to nobody. It doesn't appeal to adults because it isn't well written, it doesn't appeal to people who like train because it present the trains with the qualities that make train appealing (big, heavy, powerful, loud, etc), It doesn't appeal to new audiences because its no different than any other children's show, and it doesn't appeal to the biggest and easiest market to appeal to, that being the fans, who have become the competition taking attention away from the show, because they still want to watch something with the qualities of the original show. As for the pack, I still think that the toys won't sell as well as the originals because of the proportions being less and less train like. Of course, it was best when there was variety and people could CHOOSE between the more realistic look and something more distorted and cute (ERTL, Tomy, Wooden Railway, and Golden Bear, though the original Take Along and the Bluebird line did the cute look best), but now they can't choose, because all the ranges look the same, losing the appeal for kids to buy more than one range, but I think you already know all of this Leo. It doesn't matter though, because the people who need to know this and who should don't. Just imagine how much money they could make if they always hired the right people for the job.

I agree on the poor writing. It's so lame and one dimensional. Considering how well written Bluey is Vs Thomas AEG it's no wonder Thomas is failing and being pulled from retailers. Unless there's a savage turn around I'm thinking the franchise will implode very soon.

I’m personally just not rocking with AEG as a brand and show! IMO the show will flop ultimately and Mattel will sell the brand of Thomas to another company, hopefully someone more competent in branding and exposure of the show! Mattel won’t broadcast the Original show but they will broadcast this garbage and that to me says how little they care bout the consumer of this franchise
