This song really takes me back to my 8th grade year my parents and brother and me went to Scotland during the summer and we were at a bagpipe band and they were playing this theme and when I look at the list and in memory of rev awdry and it was Donald and Douglas so thank for taking me back to my past with this song

Dude... I'm honestly lost for words right now. Donald and Douglas are my favorite characters in Thomas & Friends, and their theme is by far my favorite piece of music in the show. They're badass powerhouses who take absolutely no nonsense from anyone, but at the same time they're friendly jokers who are always up for helping someone in need. Their theme epitomizes just what unique and awesome characters they are, and your rendition of it was well worth the wait! It's an absolute eargasm from start to finish, and I love how even without using the bagpipes, you still managed to give it a powerful Scottish feeling! It's a song that I'll be playing on repeat for a long, long time! =D

The biggest smile grew across my face when the clip of the trains passing the snowy castle played over the music. Donald and Douglas were my favourites when I was little and this was a real blast to listen to (loved all the old clips too!). Awesome job ^_^

Ah jeez, I feel this is one of your best performances, Luke AND Jack!! Once again, great use of dynamics. Despite repeating the same theme throughout the video, it never got boring. Jack did a great job building up the drums until the big ending. And you did a great job with the arrangement to keep it interesting! I loved the flute and piccolo section. Also, totally agree with you about the bagpipes. They're very limiting as an instrument as they can only play in like two different keys. And the original theme doesn't seem to incorporate it anyhow. I really like how you approached it with the reeds and strings playing in unison. And using the accordion for that low drone was brilliant!

Excellent work! I LOVE the percussion over on this as well as the woodwinds and accordian. The makeshift bagpipe worked wonders and I wholeheartly agree with you over the original theme not really using bagpipes but more synth. The music creators in the fandom have been bumping their game lately, You really Orchestrate your music while some Recreated theirs, and some, well turn the themes into masterpieces of their own design. But really, the beats were groovy and it was superb.

Donald and Douglas are both my favourite twin engines in Thomas and friends series since they appear back in Season 2, I even like their theme song. Still I wished I could have seen more of Donald and Douglas in each episodes for the rest of Thomas and friends before CGI has ended and replace with Season 25 in reboot.

Fun fact: The footage at the beginning of Break Van/Donald and Douglas was originally meant for another Season 2 episode called The Missing Coach which was supposed to be a combined adaptation of the RWS stories "Hullo Twins" and "The Missing Coach" from The Twin Engines, but it was cancelled half-way through production. Some footage for that cancelled episode was also used in Saved from Scrap. The only other known fragments of that episode are promotional photos found on the internet.

I remember as a kid, I always went "Ach, aye!" when I got a little frustrated. Hehehe. If I were to give a piece of critique (keep in mind this may be unfaithful to the original, and I'm not much of a musician myself), it'd be to make the accordion a bit more active after the intro. By that, I mean having it sort of "bounce" to the beat, if that makes since. This is done especially well later in this very cover. Still, the cover is incredible! Keep it up!
