This was the Thomas era that I also grew up with during the mid to late 2000s and I never knew about how lackluster this series was when The Unlucky Tug did a video discussing how The HIT era wasn’t the same as the railway series.

I was born on the 5th of July 2008 and I can 100% confirm that I'm a true Thomas fan, when I was little my mum sometimes used to sing this to help me sleep at night and it actually worked funnily enough. I'm now 14 and I'm turning 15 this year, man I feel old.

Maybe one day you might become big like me if you improve your Minecraft building and animation skills because how I did was by watching tutorials and doing research over the internet to get better at animating and building and definitely good at editing videos. I know it’s a lot to take in to get use to but I managed it.

This animation is made only for the longtime Thomas fans who grew up watching the original series because the damage has already been done by Mattel by messing this beloved property up by making it extremely babyish and bad which made fans disappointed like Unlucky Tug. It would be interesting if he also reacted to one of my Thomas Minecraft animations.

It only took me a few days to create it despite a couple years of experience of using Minecraft mods such as world edit to speed things up for landscaping, 3D modeling, researching, scene planning, structure measurements, and getting used to a animation software called Mine-Imator that is highly compatible with Minecraft, the software is in fact complicated to use at first however it gets easier once you get use to it. I also edit it in video editing softwares using various sounds I can use from internet sources and yes it is a long thing to explain because animation can be complicated I even use audacity to edit various sounds.

To me they seem to be long enough in my opinion maybe 1 block off but it’s not a big deal these are just my attempts at building Annie & Clarabel. If you look closely they also have their name plates with a font that looks cursive. Annie is in the correct position in the front while Clarabel is also flipped at the rear how it should be in the show. Everything in this animation is closely accurate to the prototype.

The program I use is called Mine-Imator as I don’t use Blender due to its complexity and only stuck with how simple Mine-Imator is capable with performance wise as graphics for the software are only able to render low quality textures such as blocks. It is a freeware software created by David Norgren, a small indie creator dedicated to this project other than Blender. It also has an entire forums page with a community that animates these Minecraft projects.

It’s a long story to explain how I made these Thomas animations however, this is going to be oversimplified for me to explain, All you need is Minecraft Java Edition, WorldEdit Mod, and of course Mine-Imator and make sure your using the right version for Minecraft as well. I build these trains first in Minecraft then using world edit to make landscapes and then I go to Mine-Imator to import everything to use for the project and I use the timeline to keyframe each step by moving the schematic and then after that I go to a video editing software to make up the entire video.
