I am surprised they didn't do a loop set in 2018 based on the one scene from Big World Big Adventures The Movie. I am also surprised this set works with motorized engines and not the downhill gravity of push-along trains. This is based on an episode from All Engines Go, and the track to bypass the loop is in the episode too Since you had the talking engines out, I want to let you know they made All Engines Go talking engines of Thomas, Percy, and Nia.

Much to my surprise I actually really like this set. This is the exact sort of set I should hate because I hate AEG and gimmick sets but I can’t help loving this set! It’s so much fun and honestly astounding they managed to pull this off as I thought this would be impossible

The classic engines didn’t not trigger the launch because they didn’t have geared traction wheels, they didn’t trigger it because the catch on the bottom wasn’t low enough to catch on the trigger point on the tracks. It’s an important distinction, one of the key reasons Revolution engines don’t run well on classic track is because of how low the catch is.

The launch and loop maintenance yard is a pretty interesting set I mean it is based on rules of the game from season 1 of all engines go and I don't mind one of the stunts and actions in the series for the most part but some things could be a little over the top such as backwards day where they literally push the tree backwards and even Thomas blast off when he literally hit the rocks and bounce around all the way to the docks which it's unrealistic and breaks the physics overall it is a pretty interesting set and it's pretty interesting that the launcher was reused from the turbo jungle set.

Can anyone give me any tips or suggestions, I just bought my son this train set today but I’m Having issues with the launch before Thomas gets in the right position at the right time , the handle lever launches Thomas just by Thomas barely touching the gate , thanks in advance , and great video by the way .

Same. Launcher worked once with the cargo being towed but now everytime Thomas touches the gate it launches early. It's really such a shame

We got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it! Sadly, a kid has already broken it. They pulled the lever back when it was trying to disengage, and now when you try to pull it back it only goes a little way. Once it starts to meet resistance in the spring mechanism, the gears start to slip. Anybody have any ideas?

@esteban1582 we took it a part and figured out which piece has loosened. It is a white gear with like 2 levels attached together. It starts to slip when they meet resistance. I had an idea to try to JB Weld it back together. I haven't tried to see if it will work.

The lever won't reset the blocker, and even by hand it's difficult to get it to click into place. Any tips?

You are the second one to state that problem. I haven’t had that problem. If I could find it I might try it again to see what is causing it. Perhaps it was not assembled correctly. Could try rebuilding it including the screwed in parts

I say it's a cheap gimmick because it doesn't seem like it would work with the larger tender engines that's the way it seemed like to me with some of the sets that were coming out towards the end of the CGI series that they were just cheap gimmicks and why I say it's a cheap gimmick set it's because I don't think this set would work with larger tender engines!!!!
