Can’t believe there’s actual footage of this. I was there as a child at this show. Honestly was so excited and when the show started and couldn’t believe I was seeing “the real engines”! It was amazing! Drove home with my mum and dad after the show and couldn’t stop thinking about it. 6 year old me had never seen anything so awe-inspiring. This brings back so much nostalgic good memories to magical childhood loving these characters.

Funnily enough, I think I was there at this very event. I remember there being three seating areas basically surrounding the performance space. I would've been on the left side (camera left). I distinctly remember only having a sideview of the sheds and I remember Gordon emerging at one point with a scarf around his head... 20 years ago. Damn...

To think this show was performed right before Series 8 aired with all the changes that came with it. I was half expecting to hear the engine roll call theme but I was greatly surprised to hear the original theme tune. This live show was one of the last few things to bookend the classic era. And it looks like a lot of work was put into it too.

Did the 2006 tour have the series 8-10 theme as it series 10 came out in 2006 but the Jolly Roger Thomas kiddie ride from 2006 had the classic theme but later releases of the ride had the series 8-10 theme.

I recently learned from an anonymous source that the engine props are now in the hands of a private stage prop collector in Ireland. The collector also owns all the parts to the Thomas prop and plans to eventually restore the engines.

Today, I think that a show like this would be held in other Spanish-speaking countries. I guess Thomas never came on a tour to Mexico or Latin America at the time because of logistics. To this day I can't believe that there has never been a special tour or show with trains from the series in Latin America.
