Thomas Linacre was born in 1460 at Linacre Hall in (Old) Brampton near Chesterfield. He became Royal Physician to Kings Henry VII and Henry VIII and founded the Royal College of Physicians. He died on 20th October 1524.
On the 500th anniversary of his death, his life was celebrated in a special service at Old Brampton Church. The service included this dramatised talk about his remarkable life.
