the chanting is deep and a reflection of the artistic characteristics of Mapfumo, a mark of his musical identity which is inspired by the cultural ceremonies of Zimbabwe. This is a legend whose music is timeless and is a preservation of an identity only found in traditions of Zimbabwe.

The Conquering Lion of ZIM;Dr Thomas Mapfumo &the Blacks Unlimited have been making these lucrative foreign tours since the early 80s spreading Chimurenga music.Jonah Sithole ,the late was such a brilliant lead guitarist.

Wonderful stuff Matt. Pidi Gori has always been one of Mapfumo's best songs. The clip references Ian Smith but we all know who he is singing about these days.
