Honestly I wasn't expecting anything more from Arsenal. Arteta needs to wake up because we play like we asleep. So slow in transition, poor final ball, Saka and Pepe only players trying to be more direct and make things happen. Partey's positioning was excellent , but the defense transition is so slow. This guy is gonna have his work cut out. Arsenal cannot play like this all season. We made that team look so good. I'm really worried about our team.

Elneny is underrated, especially since Arteta took the reigns. He has looked very solid and I agree. Partey + Elneny in DM with Partey playing a box-box role as well with Ceballos as a number 10. Having said that I am surprised that Pepe has not been played centrally more often. My gut tells me he would make a brilliant No 10 with auba up top, saka on the left and willian potentially on the right..

One thing I saw is that saka likes to play it back to the defence when he has a channel to get the pass off to the partey instead. Little things like that break down our attack along with the square balls. We need more forward thinking like partey.

What confused me is not only did he not start vs City but he came on super late (which you could give semi relevant arguements too but also he has just played 90 minutes before a 3 day rest against a massive PL team). But you also tie it into Ozil (mainly a ghost story unexplained) BUT IMPORTANTLY Saliba who we tried to recall last year & since have neglected, which has been blamed on his fitness, intergation/language and personal issues.. Yet Wrighty released a video with him from last month where he spoke great English. Artetas subs pay off well but certain selections cause questions..*( What about Reiss Nelson for example who played 30seconds vs Wein!).
