Thomas The Brave

The apostle Thomas is seriously misunderstood. He was one of the bravest and most active of all the disciples. The Bible never calls him doubting Thomas. In this short talk, we are going to look into his really interesting life and a serious important lesson that he teaches us. That scepticism for a Christian can be a really good attribute. Now there's a surprise.
There is a heretical gospel called the Gospel of Thomas but don't let that colour your view. It was written hundreds of years after he died and is known to be a total fraud.

Why do you call the Gospel of Thomas heretical?

Hi William, sorry not to have replied sooner. Don't mistake the Gospel of Thomas with Thomas. It was not written by him but was written several hundred years later by a heretic and said lots of strange and false things about Jesus. The writer called it the Gospel of Thomas to try to promote it and it was widely criticised by the early church fathers and elders. Hope that helps a little. Dave
