Is That Thomas ran by it’s own power? I mean UK does it but can the US do that?? And if he does run by his own steam How did they get the face to work? And the type of train he is (E2 class tank engine) He must have bad boiler pressure.

The Strasburg Railroad has a Thomas that is Full Steam Powered and this is a Thomas Dummy Unit that you see. And the face moves by special effects in the Cab of Thomas

@Aiden McKinney The reason why it’s a dummy is because if it was steam powered, it would be subject to FRA requirements such as the cowcatcher and compliant steam machinery. Therefore it’s best to use a dummy to keep Thomas more realistic.

It's impossible to build a steam locomotive without cylinders in the US. Also, if this was a real steam engine, it will need a cowcatcher per law. That's why this Thomas is a dummy unit. The only real Thomas steam engine is the Strasburg Rail Road; however it has cylinders and a cowcatcher, and was built by using a historic steam switcher engine as its base (BEDT 15).
