He's not improved them. Leopard was sacked on his 1st dip in form. That was because of fatigue at the most congested point in the most congested season in history. Prior to the Xmas schedule was when it was a reasonable time to judge compared to Tuchel. At that point they had a 17 game unbeaten run and were playing high intensity attacking football. Under Tuchel it's 3 years backward with Conte defensive play combined with Sarri's do nothing sideways passing against mainly relegation fodder and deeply out of form sides. They are actually boring to watch and look less like scoring.

He has definitely strengthened the defense. This video explains why the ball is stalling around midfield. I would like to see Pulisic used more. I would put him in for Alonso to get some creativity down the left side. That's where Pulisic excelled last season.

They won't unless Tuchel makes positive changes to be more attacking. Right now they're like a love child of Contes defensive style with Sarris negative sideways possession. Absolutely dull to watch. He's taken out the intensity in the attacking for 1-0 grind against weak and very off form opposition.

@@RefnRes See, when you don't have great defense either you try parking the bus or you try outscoring your opponent while conceding goals too. Yes, watching their matches feel boring these days and I even agree upon that but what really matters right now is to make a place in top 4. And don't take it in offense but Chelsea don't have better defenders. So expecting them to take participation in offense can lead to a profuse leakage of goals. And you need to give some time to your forwards. They just lack finishing that's it. Atleast chelsea have started playing for longer duration in opponent's half. Btw Conte's defensive style made Chelsea a champion and trust me things will be better in a few matches.

what Kuchel did to improve Chelsea team 1）Defense A 343 formation can tap on Azipi's experience and leadership without exposing his lack of pace and height which has led to many goals conceded when he plays as full back. Christensen is much more comfortable with the ball compared to Zoma. He has improved by quickly closing in on attackers instead of retreating, denying them opportunity to shoot or run at him. Alsonso has improved on his defense and Chilwell his role as a corner back. Mendy encouraged to come out of the box whenever situation warrants it. Kepa seldom if ever did that. Above explains the recent clean sheets. 2） Moving from defense to offense Ball is now quickly passed to midfielders to move ball up the field. That responsibility now rests with midfielders instead of defenders. Not only Jorginho but also Konte and Rudiger trained to make long overhead passes to move ball quickly up to opponent's half, denying them time to organize their defense. 3) In attack Players encouraged to be more creative. Making mistakes is ok. Meaningless possession of the ball is much less now. Kuchel showed his full understanding of tactics by saving Weiner for the Liverpool game. Liverpool always maintains a high defensive line which plays to Weiner's strength. Selective deployment between Weiner and Gerald with different opponents shows he is a top tactician.

Throwing a player in a system and let him do the work and sometimes he changes the system completely in opposite direction after first half. That's a Chelsea type manager though we're not sure about his future.

He gave 5 Key Passes in the Man UTD game and i think he can do better by dropping in the right half space and make crosses and passes. That's his style and from tactical point of view he can't do that because he has Mount in his team who has the ball to pass and Ziyech always move around the hole to receive the ball. We all knew we had a decent team especially going forward but for whatever reason under frank we just couldn’t defend. I kind of disagree on the first part a bit though. We know that Lampard's last seven opponents are considerably harder than Tuchel who has 3 low-level teams as opponents, Burnley is attackingly inept and Newcastle and Sheffield are basically St. Claus this season. And we all know Southampton should have won that match. Chelsea won by a penalty and so does his match with Spurs. His important win possibly only coming from Atletico Madrid. However, i agree he is more intelligent than Lampard and he seemed to better know what he is doing. For starters, starting Giroud was brilliant. He definitely know Ole has a bad habit of being a pushover in big matches and his United's dependence on Bruno. Seal Bruno and use Giroud's poaching ability, then the match is settled. Ole wouldn't take risk, believe me. That should have been Chelsea's win. And to be honest, as a Spurs fan, i kinda like Lampard in a sense he's giving me a laugh with his...questionable methods this season that made them went to a losing streak. His tactics may seem brilliant, but i think too predictable. I think he putting Timo on the wing is kind of awful tactically. He probably did this so he can drift center and accept a long or medium pass and outpace backs that have push higher, but this really just could be mitigated by a player that is good in the air and even man-marking work since Timo is not good on the ball and under pressure. It's clear that he is more suited with a guy who is good on the ball, has good vision and passing accuracy...well, that' Havertz and Ziyech. When he scored a brace, Havertz actually was there. I think Lampard is a type that bought a car that do not know how to use it properly. I kinda feel sorry about Werner and Havertz, though. Now they both lost their confidence. I actually still kind of irritated he joined Chelsea, since he would really fit on Mourinho's methods in 4132 or 4231 formation.

Havertz didnt play good in the first half of the 19/20 season. In my opinion he could have had another season in Bundesliga. He should play as a false nine with Werner as shadow striker in TT system because there no creativity or dynamism in Chelseas game. If Mount doesnt step up offensively, Pulisic should play instead

This comes from Chelsea's English fan base (some). They even question you when you are trying to put your views across. Have you ever been to the Bridge?. You should have seen how they reacted when Chelsea drew with Southampton and United. They even say they are not emotionally invested like before since lampard left which understandable and I have no problem with cause Lampard is our best player and watching our best player in Chelsea's history as chelsea manager win games means much more. quite understandable but you should also support the Team as much. Your team is going downhill and you can clearly tell majority of it is on the manager but since he's our best player you will rather the team go down with him in charge. There's a Tuchel out brigade on Twitter perpetuated by this same people. You should see how they overreact when Chelsea draw a match.. the same people ironically telling us to back the manager (lampard). The day Tuchel loses a match, all hell break lose.
