Glad to see you finally found the new Wooden Thomas! I will say despite the packaging being copyright to 2021, these didn't start showing up in the US until this time last year in 2022. I think they were produced in 2021 and that's why the packaging has that date. The listing for this Thomas first showed up in August of 2021 on Amazon as a preorder, but then around October people who had preordered were told by Amazon it would be delayed. It's still crazy it took a year longer for you to find this in Australia, but it's only about a year old toy at this point, not two thankfully. I personally would love to see you make another video on the Thomas, I don't think anyone can articulate their thoughts on this new Wooden Railway in a way that you would, and I would really enjoy watching it.

I noticed the wheels are stamped with 2020, box is 2021 and I find it in a physical store in 2023. Obviously Mattel are in no hurry to make money of this. Or is this delay exposing a much bigger problem going on? The thing that China seems to keep a secret.

That Wooden Railway Thomas looks amazing. Sadly here in Costa Rica, its extremely hard to get a Thomas toy, even the Knockoffs are very hard to find. I wonder if you can make a comparation between an early Thomas Wooden Railway Thomas with the 2021 version.

Hey again Leo! I still haven’t managed to find these in stores. But I also haven’t checked my local toy mate. And what drives me mad is that Mattel wasted like 3 or 4 years with Thomas wood which was a absolute flop and waste of money and time. I only got my hands on a painted Diesel which was such cheap quality to the former TWR. I can only imagine how the new TWR is as I’ve heard such amazing reviews. Hopefully we get them soon, all the best!

Just recently I found the new 2022 Thomas wooden railway models in Australia as well I do like how they brought back the wooden railway range and the new models are quite nice the wheels are interesting but i dont hate them

It's disappointing that it has taken this long to finally see the new wooden railway stock in Australia like seriously these things were released in 2022 and we’re only getting them now while other countries have gotten them the day they were released!? When it comes to toys Australia always gets the short end of the stick. But let’s just be thankful that we ended up getting them in the end, even tho it did take a year.

The new playsets look really good, just too bad I can't afford to buy it. I notice on the Thomas I unboxed the linework on the side you can't see in store is crooked. It slopes along the side of the model. The wheels are marked as 2020, box license as 2021 and in store in 2023. I'm going to investigate the change to Thomas Wood and ponder why was it ever developed. It happened at a timeframe of all sorts of other bad designs and whacko thinking. Maybe Mattel staffers over thinking a problem that really didn't exist. And the collapse of ToysRUs could also be part of the story. But my belief is change happens to make consumers buy the same thing over and over. Backwards compatibility of Thomas toys is incredibly lacking. The change to Thomas Wood track with different connectors really exposed the game. The Trackmaster 2 track system must be getting close to it's end of life. And it's an incredibly complex toy train system. Just amazing how many different components there are. All I know is when a toy company owns a brand you can expect a train wreck. And yep we have seen a few develop since 2014.
