It would take a lot of time and money to actually use thr equipment from the 40s to make the cartoon really look old but they did an excellent job with the old character designs in computer animation. What I think would've made this short even better is if it played in theaters. I think WB should partner with Fathom Events to bring classic Tom and Jerry shorts to theaters.

I think this is the first time ever we see Tom literally RIP his face off/have it ripped off. That is probably more brutal than having his head smashed into his neck by a falling heavy object (I.e., bowling ball).
