HIGH SIERRA FLY-IN | AFRICA

One of the most beautiful & exciting ways to fly is on a salt pan or dry lakebed. We headed out to Koo Pan, deep in the Northern Cape of South Africa to fly with 8 other aircraft - most Kitplanes for Africa aircraft. From the Bushbaby to the Explorer and Safari, we were all there.
We saw the beautiful Kalahari and the World Land Speed Record Track at Hakskeen pan where they did the Bloodhound project. There was brief engine trouble on takeoff due to high heat but all in all it was a fantastic weekend.
A HUGE thank you to all that were involved in making this special back country trip happen. I can't wait to head back in my Rotax 915 powered KFA Safari next year.
