One of my favorite memories of Merrill was back in the 80s. My Dad and I watched the games on TV but we would turn the volume down and put on Merrill. There was a play, refs had to measure and it was 4 and inches. As the referee raises his hands to say it was inches away Merrill said 4th and about a yard. To this day my Dad and I will always say "about a yard" when it's inches away. Merrill is the best and I hope he is able to do this for another 20 years. My father had season tickets to the Eagles games when I was a kid. He gave me a pennant of the 1960 Eagles Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers. As a kid the Eagles Fever had not taken me over until I became an adult. Sadly, this pennant is now only a memory of our Eagle Family Heritage.❤️ Memories of family are always accented by Eagles Games! 🦅🙏
