The cinematography is awesome Thomas. In the last 14 months I too have struggled. A truck ran over me whilst on my bike and then the old cancer was diagnosed. In recovery now and about to embark next week on my own long motorcycle adventure of 3 months. The nightmares from the truck incident are very vivid. I know the trip will give me back the freedom feeling and settle me down. Hope it does for you too Thomas. Your videos certainly install the wander lust in me. My favourite thing. 👏👏👏👏

Thank you Paul. But damn I'm sorry to hear this, what a fight that must have been 🥹 Sounds like you are getting out there to rediscover something important for you. Easy to take life for granted sometimes. Where are you trip gonna be? down south? Nothing beats the open road, the uncertainty of what's next and just enjoy the moments. It resonate a lot with who I am and what I want to do going forward. Really glad to hear my work inspire your wanderlust 🙌🏻 Goodspeed mate, hope you have a great adventure ☕️

I'm Danish with a Norwegian wife. Went on a roadtrip, in car, from Kristianssand to Namsos along the westcoast. Having heard about allemannsretten, I thought camping along the route would be easy. Lesson learned 🙂 I'm lucky that I have many years of exploring Norway ahead of me, because access to nature is not as straightforward as one might expect. Thank you for documenting your trips and inspiring to getting it done.

Well, you can within the law camp almost where you want, but if you start looking for places that is easy access. you want some views or just some silence from the roads etc. It can be more of a struggle. Glad you enjoyed it sir. Cheers

Absolutely stunning, Thomas! Merging all episodes into a single video created an extraordinary viewing experience; the beauty of Norway is indeed awe-inspiring! I trust your sleep has improved and that you're either fully recuperated or well on your way. A big hug and my best wishes to you! 👍👍

Thank you Nelio 🙏🏻 Yeah, I get the impression that most people enjoy it in long format, so I might do more of that and focus even more on story in some upcoming videos. It is like you say, gives a much better viewing experience, and you don't have to wait for the obvious questions. Life is surely challenging sometimes, and it can really kick you in the face, but I'm on my path to recovery, not sure how long it will take, or how far I need to go, but I will get there eventually. Haha, that is a saying my grandfather always used to say. Thank you for this, and appreciate your support. I really hope to meet you one day and give you a warm genuine hug 👏🏻 All the best mate.

@tshansen
@tshansen 9 күн бұрын
Takk for støtten. Kjør pent 🤩
@danielronnqvist685
@danielronnqvist685 9 күн бұрын

Your films are always amazing! I love this slow pace and how you enjoy every moment. I’ve been to Norway this year on motorcycle trip and this only opened a need for more. Amazing country for motorcycling. What month you filmed it? Is march already a good months to start Norwegian season?
@tshansen
@tshansen 5 күн бұрын
Thank you so much mate, appreciate the nice comment. This trip was filmed in beginning and middle of May. And March is way too early to start a motorcycle adventure in Norway. Most mountain roads are covered in ice and snow still, and there might be some towns down south or along the west coast that has rideable temps. But I would wait until late April, beginning may.

Nice video as always Thomas! During which month was this trip made, and beginning or end of that month? As you know I have been to Norway soooo many times the last six years and I normally make my first trip for the season in May. Last time, in May 2024, I realized that May in Norway has quite big limitations because directly when you come up just a few hundred meters above sea level there is nothing green on the trees and often a lot of snow left, and that makes my feeling of spring dissappear. Your video, without knowing when it's recorded, made me reconsider and see the beauty in riding even if the nature isn't green yet - as long as it's at least no snow left. By the way we still November 13th have around 8-9 °C here in Göteborg with dry roads with no salt, and I'm riding to work and back 50 km every day 😊 Not for fun but it's quite convenient when riding through traffic and queues. By the way, I have no problems with nightmares, but I have also heard before that being too warm when you sleep can be negative for the nightmares 🙏

This trip started 3.May and lasted until 19.May It is crazy how Norway goes from spring to winter in just a couple of 100 meters in elevation in May. It is around 10 degrees and have been the last weeks here as well, but next week the forecast says snow. and much colder, so I guess winter is here for good now. And that is ok, I'm done riding bike this year. Looking forward to get my new bike and start a new season with warmer weather anyway. Now it is just wet, cold and dark 😂

@ Yes, I have seen that Bergen is quite mild also but when I checked some places I have saved in my wether app I saw it's well below zero and also some snow there. The inner parts of southern Norway often seem to be quite cold and has quite a lot of snow, probably because many of them is located far above sea level.
@marcusisacson

@ Yeah, it's crazy to go from very green and quite warm in the valleys or by the fjords and then, especially when coming up several hundred meters or maybe almost 1000 meters, it can be a LOT of snow, cold and the nature is not even close to wake up for spring yet 😬

Så nå har jeg byttet til DMD2 og tablet som navigasjon. Litt dyrere, men himmel og hav for en forskjell (til mitt bruk) Transalp er en god retriever i adventure segmentet. God sykkel det her 👏🏻

Great full length vid Thomas. Very much enjoyed. May have to take in the beauty of spring in Norway a few more times during the long ass winter ahead. The old mine is reminiscent of the area around me. The coal mines have been closing for a couple decades now. Times gone bye. A few museums to entertain the tourists. How it was in my early life. Over fifty years of work in and around the mines I've seen a lot of changes. The rally get together was very good. Somewhere Robert had a boner put in him during the AJP demo ride. He was totally impregnated. Out popped one from the crate. This will be interesting when the snow melts. Mattias can give him pointers of waiting the winter out with a new motorcycle to ride. A tip on the rest deal, limit the caffeine and sugar intake several hours before bedtime. It really helped me. I used to wake up more tired than when I went to bed. Wired up. Hopefully I can get over there in the next two years and take some of the Nordic beauty in. Cheers my Nordic Adventure friends. Next time. All good from east Kentucky USA.

It looks and feel like people want more of the long form content, they want to see more or the whole story, and I kinda understand that with my way of making video. splitting it up takes away some of the ending we are waiting for. So I need to refigure this going forward. Thankfully, this year I have 2 or 3 long videos ready to start edit trough the winter. Makes it so much easier. I don't mind a good winter, but that sleet crap we have over here, with one day rain the other some snow is just not fun at all. Mines and old history like this, that shaped the future we are living in now impress me a lot. I'm not sure if it is an age thing or the explorer to find answers in me. But I have picked up on the habit of reading more, learning more from the past to better understand where we are coming from and why we are like we are today. Also get an idea where exactly we did wrong 🙈 The Adventure gang you will see much more of going forward. Hahaha, me, Rob and Mattias are planing much more in the years to come. I have tried to cut down on everything, dieting, exercise more etc. But this looks to be more complex than I first liked to admit. Been seeing a specialist and there is some trauma there I need to figure out and take care of. We talk again soon my friend. Thank you for the ongoing support and the great comments. Always look forward to them 🙌🏻☕️ If you ever make It over here. Make sure to send me a message. 🔥

I’m no doctor Thomas, but, to me it sounds like you are suffering from anxiety. It manifests in many ways and is a hard thing to diagnose yourself. Please find a way to talk to a professional, there is no shame in asking for help. I suffered for 4 years, without knowing what was happening to me. Thought I was losing my mind. Anyway, finding the right person is the first step. Love your work brother ❤

I don't think you need to be a doctor mate. Now, after seeing a specialist there is a lot of clear indications that I have some problem with anxiety disorders of some kind. The problem Is that I have no idea what is triggering it, and I feel just fine. So it is really strange to accept that it is something like this. Hard to describe. But like you say 😆 I feel like I'm loosing my mind. Cheers mate ☕️

The root of Nightmares lies usually in our behavior towards certain feelings. The body can catalyze certain feelings of course. One practical Tip to try: if the things happening to you in your nightmares happened to you when you are awake, how do you have to do what to face and go through this situation to die feeling a happy, content, strong, upright and caring man? Aply the answer to this question

This, right here, hit on a different level mate! There is no doubt that this is correct in so many ways. And when you have forced to hide away feelings for many years. It is just a matter of time until the body boils over and you need to address things that does not make sense in the beginning, but when you start dealing with it, it always comes back to some things. 🙏🏻

Inner demons are only powers and stengths we try to block out and therefore they appear as working against us. But they are happening in our own minds, nowhere else, and therefore they are a power of us. When the power of anger is not held back anymore to avoid causing harm because else it would be directed against someone, but instead is used to maintain or restore our dignity and the freedom of our and others shame, then at this point this power, which used to be destructive becomes available to us, and we are free
