When Nightwish goes crazy ... There is nothing better than seeing those musicians doing what they were created for. Performing on stage. Putting their souls into performance. And knowing that they don’t do this with dollar pictures in their eyes, but because they enjoy it. And we can enjoy with them!

That transition is one of best I have ever seen. So incredibly well done. This may well be my favorite Nightwish song, if a favorite is even possible. Marko's bass line is just brutal as is Tuomas' head banging. Floor's unheard scream at 11:12 is just so - man, I can't even find a word for it ("unleash the beast" comes to mind). This whole song is just monstrous. Great reaction!

That's quite a song, isn't Thomas? What Parisa said is so true, even the heavier Nightwish songs are soothing and mesmerising. Listening to them makes me feel calm sometimes emotional, and always wanting more! Their stage presence seems to be on point with every song, but is spontaneous and never choreographed nor rehearsed, Tuomas and Floor said in interviews. They all do know how to radiate emotion, don't they!

Hi Parisa! Welcome to the madness! There is, all through this one, a big flavor of Old Morocco, the great silk caravans, long journeys on camels, night time desert winds, the hint of wild spice. ADVENTURE! Emppu is so underrated. Floor and Marko getting LOUD together at the end is fab. They lean into each other. Floor needs to keep windmilling. Those lights won't power themselves! I think Troy was playing an electric bouzouki. .I could be heinously wrong.

@@ThomFoolery1 I think it's based on Stephen King novel "Wolves of the Calla" for the title but possibly inspired by The Dead Poets Society - you know Tuomas refers to himself in songs as Poet/Boy/Writer/Dreamer. Not forgetting any other member either, everyone gives their best, as usual. Hello, hello ... There's one Nightwish fan here and a little late though. This is definitely one of my favorite Nightwish songs and not a bit because of this video recording. The whole band is so inside this song and the look on Tuomas' face in section 8.01 ... he knows what's coming. And Floor’s performance can only be admired. No wonder the audience is quite wild.
@DJGots4 жыл бұрын
Great musicians who understand what a song needs. Not overplaying it at any point, not trying to outshine the rest of the band members. Just a group of amazing individuals forming a collective and it shows. It adds to the performance and how the crowd experiences it. A lot of modern "musicians" don't understand this, with the overdone choreo's, crazy dances etc. The build up in this song tho. It builds and builds and then after that midsection, that drop... how do you even come up with that? Toumas, you are amazing. Imagine being him, writing this stuff in his head, hearing it come to life like this. And Emppu, often feels like he doesnt get the credit he deserve, is indeed an amazing player and the perfect example of what I said in the first part. Just doing what the song needs and only showing off in a few moments which gives it that much more impact. Funny, being a prankster often pulling jokes on his fellow bandmates like pulling the plug on Floor's in-ear during one of the songs at the Wacken concert. Great guitarist and yet so humble, that little knee-bow and smile when he tosses one of his picks into the audience. Wholesome

@@ThomFoolery1 it is what it is and we're all in the same boat. Makes it a bit easier to bare and we got stuff to look forward to. And about the struggles, I do think its a common thing yes. Nightwish is music that touches people in a different way than the commercial pop from nowadays. Not saying they are the only band who manages this or that all pop music is bad, but a lot feels like it's purely made for the money. It doesnt feel original or has no real meaning. Music is a form of art after all. With NW I can relate to certain songs or some even help me understand certain things in life. The world feels very egocentric and distant at the moment, even before this year, atleast to me personally. Music is just an universal language that helps us (re)connect And in general, its just fun watchin people get blown away by the tide of emotions that NW steers towards newcomers. And see others enjoy your favorite music and just have a good time. Hence it comes back to the experience of the public which I said in my original comment :)

🤣🤣🤣Love your Bob Ross T-Shirt. Cool🤣🤣. Ahh. Extra company for my breakfast👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻It's a great song. Yep, Floor would crush it in musical theatre. Petition for Thomas to grow his beard like Marko🤣🤣 Tumbledryer🤣🤣🤣What a great analogy🤣🤣🤣

Hahaha! Thanks Basil. Yeah the t-shirt often gets me through hard days. Haha no don't make me do it! My beard grows more sideways than down so I don't think it'd work. 😂

Do Phantom of the Opera by Floor Janssen and Henk Poort. They did this duet for a Dutch tv show called Best Singers. Henk Poort played the phantom in the musical in the 90s (I saw this live), so when Floor found out he was also participating she had to do this song. The high notes at the end of the song are epic! Floorgasm guaranteed!

Thanks Jennifer! I've heard a lot about it. I'll check it out soon. 😀

You two are so beautiful together!! Parisa - it's absolutely OK to have a girl crush on Floor. I openly admit it right in front of my husband. Anyway, you are a lovely lady and it's nice to have you join us today. We are all family here. 😁
