Hey guys, Here's my point of view on how the Thompson should be used. The Thompson is the Tier 2 US sub machine gun and is unlocked by using your Grease Gun to level up the SMG Ribbon. Hope you guys enjoy!

I have been using this setup and I love it. I used to not like the the Tommy I was more into M1/M2 but with no upgrades to speed it up it started to get a little wild on me. I remembered what you showed as your Tommy build. I modded the way you have yours in this video for point capture so I carry my M1903 and my Tommy. Gold Heavy Set and Hoarder Badges I have been using that setup for a long time and thought I would bring my Johnson out and replace my Tommy to get used to it because I haven't really used it much because of that sight, so a couple of days ago I started carrying this with my 1903. I can't help it I love my 1903 I get a LOT of OHK's with it and sniped pilots out of their planes I will give the Johnson a fair run

The P-38 is the easiest to snipe I don't about now with this new Update since the planes fly much faster. I wish they would let you select if you want to use the old controls you switch to it. They have too many controls now I have o remap my 18 button SHARKK Gaming Mouse now

Is there a reason to use the thompson as infantry? You can have an M2 which does the same job even better, can be equipped with a scope and even be used along with a ba/sa rifle.

Hey kotton, Just a little question and possible challenge here for you.... I don't have that great of a rig... i'm running heroes and generals on as low graphics and resolution as i possibly can and am only getting about 15-25 fps, i do pretty well in the long range fights with my bolt actions, but i don't do great in CQB and capture fights, even with something like the thompson or mp40. I also play at around 200ms ping constantly because i am not in Europe or the US but In South Africa, and we have no servers for most games likes this. So what do you think i could do to improve in general, other than the obvious get better hardware and like?

+ConmanXful What hardware do you have? Sometimes setting everything to low can hurt performance. Turn terrain and textures to medium, leave clouds and shadows on low. Disable HDR and fast particles. Enable your console and use the command render.enable_ssao 0 to turn of ss filters. Enable console by finding the heroes and generals client.ini file , (might be in my documents) then paste in the code enable_console=true .

Hey kotton, the Marksman- and Field trigger gives both the same rpm (i guess this was changed in an update some while ago). I would just like to know if the tommy gun would still be cool with e.g. only the marksman trigger? +drastikas55 u will keep all the weapons a para can use exp u can have all SMGs and all SA rifles all handguns and all explosives except anti personal mines and Bazookas and u cant have BA rifles or LMGs and u also cant have assault rifles (u cant have a wrench as a para) but for ur ranks and ribbon progression u will keep them they will not go back to zero.

+The Sherman so for light tanks its hard but the chaffee with its 75 mm cannon can pen everything for medium tanks the US again has good tank (the sherman e8) for tank destroyers its a bit between the hellcat and the stug for heavy tanks the US pershing is the worst heavy and the German king tiger is the best the soviets are kind of in the middle like not the worst and not the best

+Tibo De Bruyn best overall is a good ole Sub Machine Gun. If you want to try a specialized weapon like the M1 Carbine or Fg42 they are a bit different but still fun.

+Ishotasheriff you can buy additional infantry and level them into things, or you can buy academy trained characters that are already the class you want. Check the store page. A new basic infantry only costs like 7,000 credits. Good to have multiple characters to switch too for different situations

I have 3100 kills with tommy and it's basically the only gun I use. I only play US so i'm super biased. I always roll stock everything even tho I bought the good upgrades to increase fire rate. I usually roll heavy set n fast reload. The adams patch screwed up the spread bigtime, I used to snipe people prone from well over 100m but now I have to see the whites of their eyes.

I love the Tommy Gun, but I have to admit, the M2 Carbine does kick its ass a lot. Let's just say its what players can use while they level up to the M2.

No they can't you have to level up your infantry assault ribbon to get the m2
