I just received his new album the other day, played it 3x through and the album Is fantastic. Its so 80's. One thing is Thom knows how to bring that nostalgia to his music and I felt like I was back in the 80's with him. I can so appreciate his tenacity to continue being who he always was, and not try to change himself to be like people are today. "What kind of memories, will we leave behind" THOM YOU NAILED IT BABY....SPOT ON

I remember the 80s well. It was a very brightly-coloured time. The music was amazing. We didn't have music on tap - in fact, it was an event to see your favourite bands on TV, or read about them in a magazine. No Internet or smartphones, and even buying an album was a bit pricey! It was the era of Maggie Thatcher and Reagan. Much of the music was timeless. I didn't appreciate it then, but I do now. The Thompson Twins were great. Doctor Doctor is my favourite.

Tom is a brilliant musician and not a lot of people know it because he was a “pop musician” famously. Bailey is actually an incredible multi-instrumentalist.

Bought all their vinyl records back in the 80’s and threw them all away? Why? Now I’ve just gone and bought into the gap album on vinyl again.

YES IT IS WHAT WE LISTENED TO IN THE 80'S BUT IT'S JUST DAMN GOOD MUSIC HONESTLY. AND MUSIC IF GOOD IS UNIVERSAL. IT NEVER GETS OLD.

The '80s really was a fantastic era for music. I remember lots of colour: hair, clothes and music.

It's rare to find an 80s giant making a comeback with the same type of sound from the 80s, I wish more musicians would do this. This album actually sounds good, it doesn't sound like he's trying to adapt in vain like most new music from huge bands from the past. It's refreshing, I hope more 80s bands follow this example

80's music was just upbeat. So music to day just doesn't touch the soul as it did then .
