theDoubleH63 for spotting, Edinburgh would be the best place if its variety such as Qatar, Atlantic Airways and spots you are looking for. If its heavies like Air Transat and Virgin, then its fence paradise Glasgow. Or for the Extremely Rares Prestwick.

What date was this? There is a strong possibility I was on that flight, it was an overcast day too! :) Flew G-TUIA out to Orlando then G-TUIB back. Absolutely fantastic aircraft, very comfortable and cracking engine noise too!
