I like to stock up in Thailand every visit, lots of everyday wear & things which are unavailable in UK & handy for travelling. A good buy are blue tooth speakers which I buy every trip to use, then for home handy in all rooms..loo next LOL. Maybe next time take a list & determine the prices.

In general those markets are rip off but you do get variety in one place. Let me enlarge, in one market shoes I wear 800 baht and would not * bahter * down, at street stall 100 baht for same shoe, at big market socks 100 baht for 3 pair, at street stall 10 baht per pair, this in Bangkok surrounding areas like Lat Krabang near BKK airport. Also in Robinsons malls they have DIY area which contains good quality items from motorbike, car, kitchen, needlework/knitting, computer software and writing drawing essentials at lower than market prices. Not sure if Robinsons are all over Thailand though. and 2nd hand shoes can be found outside massage shops/studios etc..

Hi Ian.... a friend who lives in bkk but isnt a subscriber has asked if you saw any plastic Tupperware containers at that market as he needs quite a lot and is finding it hard to find them.

Ian, most of the second hand gear is overruns/seconds from the clothing and trainers/shoe factories in LOS, I doubt there is that much from dead people!!!! A few years back I use to buy over runs/seconds of UK Football shirts, so whilst people would call them fakes, there were in fact the genuine article
