Taika really like to cast form Australia and New Zealand, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, Rachel House (Grand Master's bodyguard) and of cos, Chris Hemsworth he's excellent at mixing quirky humor and serious emotion drama into his movies - What we do in the shadow, Hunt for the Wilder People, and JoJo Rabbit which stars Scarlett Johansson. him and James Gunn are my favorite MCU directors for sure

Not his stunt double, the stage actor playing Thor is Chris Hemsworth's brother Luke, who is also an actor. The stage actors playing Loki and Odin are Matt Damon and Sam Neil (Dr. Grant from Jurassic Park). Why they cut his hair? So that Hemsworth didn't have to wear the long hair wig ;P

This movie took a much more humorous approach than some others. I got my sister to finally watch it by promising her as I put it "a literally jaw-dropping moment" in the opening. When she did watch it, she stopped the movie and called me up to call me all kinds of names over that, but then I pointed out "I did say 'a *literally* jaw-dropping moment', did I not?" You hit that moment about 1:00 (and was my teaser for her, fitting for the humor in this film?) Thor places the hammer in the beast's mouth and says "Stay" (The beast is not worthy, and cannot lift the hammer. It has no choice but to "stay") "Baby got back" ? I do not think that means what you think it means. Step # 1 of the best plan to catch Thor. Be a beautiful woman. [You two both have this step down quite well] 17:18-17:20 your comment "Bad Wolf" took me back to when Doctor Who was just getting it's feet back under it after a re-launch. The Bad Wolf story arc was when the show started to come together, sad it's been torn apart now

Hela looking like Loki is cool. In Norse mythology, Hela is actually one of Loki's 3 children, along with Fenris Wolf and Jormagund, the World Serpent. All 3 children along with Loki and Surtur will cause Ragnarok. Jormagund and Thor kill each other, Hela leads the army of the dishonored dead against the honored dead of Valhala and Fenris fights and slays, Tyr the God of war. All the gods and giants die in the final battle, except for Thor's son, Magni the god of strength and 2 others, who then replace the Norse gods.
