Truth is, most marvel movies struggle with a truuuly intricate and deep plot, or with villains that are psychologically or philosophically challenging in a way that makes them very compelling. Thanos is the best exception to this, imo. Barron Zemo, Loki, and Alexander Pierce are not bad either. Otherwise, the villains are somewhat lacking to me, and this limits the potential of the heroes- when they are not tested to their core, you don't get as deep an appreciation for their character. This type of story is excellent because it's a formidable villain with an understandable, relatable, and complex perspective that fundamentally opposes them to the hero. Because of this, the story is forced to dwell on the aspects of Thor that may lead him to triumph- and justify why Thor IS in fact the hero, and not the petty and useless God Gorr believes. I think that few movies take this type of storytelling depth into account, and I think it's partially because of accessibility. The more challenging and difficult the film is, the more it requires things of the viewer... And the more it potentially alienates other viewers because of personal preference for storytelling style. Marketing to everyone requires you to sacrifice certain potential.

Epic, epic, EPIC! This is an awesome video of an epic series. It's taken me a week and five views just to take it all in. You sir, are a master craftsman. I really enjoyed your choice of music. Pretty good re hashing of the Elric series where different aspects of himself come together at one appointed time..This story would make Michael Moorcock proud that someone didn't have an original story line of their own and used aspects of his works...Elric/ Hawkmoon/ Corum....
