This is not a credible ranking at all. The focus on American racing is rather puzzling, to put it mildly. The American jockeys listed here work in a very small market and are rather average compared to their international peers. Christophe Soumillion, Olivier Peslier, Joao Morreira, Anton Marcus, Yutaka Take and Pierre Charles Boudot are probably better than all of them and definitely more accomplished, internationally. However all of them are missing from this list. A persuasive top 10 ranking would be incredibly difficult to put together and criteria for inclusion would have to be established. This is just highly subjective nonsense.

Dettori the most overrated jockey in the world. Practically only ever rides for the Godsen stable which has so many of the worlds best horses. Also Hugh bowman ranked 8th when I could find 4 Jockeys in Australia better (JMac (our best and best in the world IMO), Lane, Williams and Rawiller). Bowman similar to Dettori is lucky he landed Winx. Dettori's shortcomings are evident after almost taking out half the field in the 2015 melbourne cup and then getting suspended once again in 2019 in the Melbourne Cup. Most overrated jockey out.
