THORPE PARK Summer Holiday Update | Lots of Rides Closures | VLOG Summer 2024

Welcome back to the channel!
Today we are visiting Thorpe Park for our final summer visit. Its the last day my silver Merlin pass can be used in the Summer holidays. There were lots of down rides during the day, leading to silly wait times on others.

It's only a few miles from where I live but I've never been there. I did pass by on the bus to Staines last week, though!!

They do give local residents complimentary tickets, it might be worth seeing if you live close enough to get some free tickets. @@DansOutandAbout I'm about 5.5 miles away, so probably not close enough for a free ticket. £2 on the bus till the end of the year, However, I'm 64 with a f**ked up shoulder at the moment and it's the school holidays, so . . .!!

September midweek is great then as its super quiet, but you’ll have to be mindful of your shoulder!

glad to see rap is back where it should be. when i went a couple weeks ago me and my mates made it all the way through security checks before being told that we needed to get it out the front. great first experience of the park 😂

Thanks for checking out the video! That sounds like a nightmare! They really should have made it a bit more clear, but after school trip season, we should be back to normal until next july 🤞 I hope after the pain in the behind you had, you still had a great day!

@@DansOutandAbout had loads of fun, espescially considering two of my mates are thorpe veterans. absolutely loved every coaster i went on (all but stealth) and im booking to go back mid september and for fright nights. absolutely cannot wait

Thats wicked!! September is usually super quiet, if you can get in midweek, even better! Walk on Swarm is the best way to ride swarm 😂 Frightnights are lots of fun, I cant wait to ride Hyperia in the dark!

@@DansOutandAbout unfortunately i cant book a weekday AND rap in time as i wont know my schedule until start of september so we're gunning for a weekend but hopefully it'll be just as quiet. most of our rides a few weeks ago were practically walk ons, only a few minutes or so. our longest wait was for swarm but thats only because it broke down. also really excited for swarm in the dark, such an underappreciated ride tbh

Went last Tuesday. A few rides kept closing and opening. Longest que was tidal wave as it was 30 degrees and everyone wanted to cool down. Hyperia was about 40 mins wait. Worth it though

I heard Monday ans Tuesday were dead there for some reason. 40 minutes is totally worth it! I think the bulk of the closures were safety measures after the big storm on Thursday. It could have been alot worse, but the lines were silly because there was less choice. Hopefully the rest of the holidays are a bit easier! Thanks again for watching!

Crazy right? It seems to be like that because they got rid of the extended queue line. To be fair, the single rider queue was so fast yesterday. They seemed to be flying through, so worth it if you dont mind your group splitting up! Thanks for checking out the video!

😂 Swarm is so smooth and fast, youre through it before you know! Its such a cool area that has kinda been forgotten about. I think if youre on your first visit to Thorpe park, you’ll be super impressed with the theming!
