They changed the fast track queue line to the backwards queue line so now you either line up for forwards or backwards. It's scary at the beginning if you don't like heights but the rest of it is just really fun love this ride. Everyone says the left is scarier because you tip first but the right is also good because you get more of feeling of freedom as you go higher than everyone else at the beginning

It was really quiet today, longest I queued for front seat was about 10 minutes. I asked a guy who worked there and he said it is only busy at weekends at the moment. Cold here though, still lots of snow around.

Did this about 2 hours ago! Didn't think it would be that good as I found it quite underwhelming going forwards but its an incredible feeling an I urge anyone with doubts about it to give it a try! One question though, did anyone else feel dizzy afterward I felt like I had been on the beer all day?!

You have separate tickets, but one ticket for 2 people. You can have one ticket for yourself if you're sitting on your own also anyways. There are two lines for queuing, one queue for facing forward and another queue for facing backwards. I went today. The sign said if you line up for facing backwards, you have to wait longer. I waited for about 10 minutes really; quicker than the other queue.

I've been to Alton on a Bank Holiday, it was torrential rain all day, the rides were all walk on, no one will come if the weather means being cold and miserable all day, a lot of people plan literally the day before.

I would personally say forwards is more of a thrill because you get to really experience the scare of all the near misses! Having said that, the first part where you watch how high you're going and then tip over backwards definitely makes going backwards worthwhile. If you can, give both a go, and decide for youself :) hope that helped a little.

I went on that today weirdly and I had so much fun. The good thing was is we got a free fast pass because we had one for stealth and it was closed so we got a free refund for two rides. I went on swarm but they never took are fast pass ticket so we used it twice

Well you weren't asking me, but, you only have 8 people going round per train, 4 in each queue side, on a quiet day there is only 1 train, it took about 10 minutes to get the 12 people in front of me round. Secondly, no it's not worth it. It's different, but I preferred the rear left seat going the other way. It's a gimmick, granted it's off watching the ride pass behind you, but the overall ride experience looses out on it.

After riding swarm forwards 3 times and backwards 3 times I have concluded that: it's very slow, not very thrilling, scary the first time but shit the rest. Not worth the 90 minutes que time, just go on Colossus or something.

Wow crazy how peoples opinions are different ...for me one of the worst rides is colossus , it just bangs your head around and feel like and effort to be on it. The swarm however is my favourite ride . So smooth but exhilarating and pretty fucking crazy
